Is the force with you? On September 15, in a galaxy not so far away, national video game retailer, Game Crazy, is celebrating the release of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed with Midnight launch costume parties (8:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.).
GameTrailers has announced that they have launched their new Star Wars: The Force Unleashed launch center. Interested gamers can also head to the launch center to see a variety of game videos and the previously released retrospectives.
Playstation Blog: The game is finally done, after several years of hard work by an incredibly talented team, and I can now just enjoy playing the game and begin to reflect on the experience of building it. When I do look back on the development effort, I'm amazed and humbled by the fact that we actually managed to finish the game. As the first internally-developed title from LucasArts in quite some time, we bit off several huge challenges, including: building a brand new game engine and tools from scratch for two new (at the time we started, anyway) platforms (including PlayStation 3); crafting a new story that bridges the gap between the two Star Wars trilogies; assembling a new team that had never worked together before; and integrating new and cutting-edge simulation-based technologies. Along the way, we also formed a new and unique partnership with our sister company Industrial Light & Magic, and worked closely with Krome Studios in Australia on the PS2 and PSP versions of the game.

In the game, players become Darth Vader's secret apprentice and use The Force to hunt the remaining Jedi.
LucasArts has announced that the debut trailer for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will debut this Wednesday at 6am Pacific Time on Entertainment Weekly's website.
Proving you don't need to make more Star Wars movies to keep the merchandising vehicle moving, Titan Books has confirmed that The Force Unleashed will receive both an official novelisation and comic book adaptation in the next couple of months.
From August 22, Star Wars fans - or anyone, for that matter - will be able to buy a graphic novel or a hardback book chronicling the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice.
