PS2 News from N4G | Jackass
PS2 - Jackass - Jackass The Game to Bring Pain and Stupidity on Nintendo DS If you think you can handle stupid stunts, stupid pain and general stupidity on two screens, then you will be really happy to hear that Jackass The Game will be released for the Nintendo DS console, after it has been released for the PlayStation 2 and PSP systems.

In Jackass The Game for the DS players are challenged to prove what they're worth to the cast of Jackass across five open-ended environments, everything while showing some serious "Jack-robatics". Also, players will have the options to create their own character and unlock a near limitless combination of customizable items and outfits (like a tiny pair of g-strings could be called outfit!). To make it even easier for those who like the stunts made by Johnny Knoxville & Co., players can now rise their attributes in order to perform those stunts with ease.

The game also has a multiplayer mode, allowing friends to compete against each other through a range of head to head challenges. So if you are insane or you like insane stuff, Jackass The Game is the title for you. But read really carefully the warning that says that the stunts featured in the game are performed by professionals, so you shouldn't attempt anything from the game. Really, now, the guys doing the show are too many, already! Let them be and let you be... healthy and sane. Because that's all that matters.

The game is rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB and a release date has yet to be announced.

PS2 News | Jackass
Aaron Rigby, producer on the upcoming Jackass game, has given a short Q&A that touches on what we can expect from the PS2 and PSP bone-breaker. Where did the inspiration come from for the game? Aaron Rigby: The original series was the biggest inspiration. It was just crazy and creative. The way the Jackass crew had the show set up gave us the opportunity to draw from a huge amount of stunts. Is the game based in actual sketches or are they completely new? Rigby: Nearly every stunt is ...

PS2 News | Jackass
We've known about the existence of a Jackass tie-in since last May, but it wasn't until earlier in the year that we got first images of how the game would look on PSP. Now we've scored first images of the game on PS2 and - no surprises - it looks much the same, except no longer in slightly lower res widescreen format. The premise of the game sounds simple, much like its protagonists. You take part as one of the troupe of modern day circus freaks as they attempt to inflict as much pain and ...

PS2 News from N4G | Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier
PS2 - Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier - PlayStation @ E3 2009 - The Games PlayStation LifeStyle writes, "In just over a week, PlayStation LifeStyle will be reporting live from the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). We've been trying to get a handle on the plethora of PlayStation games that will be on display from June 2 through June 4, and it's quite astounding. If you weren't excited about the prospect of new announcements for the PlayStation brand, what if we told you there will be over 75 unique PlayStation games on display - that we know about?! While many are multiplatform titles (though the best still appear to be Sony-exclusive), it is a large increase from last year's showing."

PS2 News from N4G | Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier
PS2 - Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier - IGN:Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier First Look If you're a rabid fan of the series, the "Lost Frontier" title might sound familiar to you. Way back in 2006, Sony patented the moniker with the description of a "real-time online networked game," but it would appear that initial idea fell through. See, Lost Frontier on the PSP and PlayStation 2 is a strictly single-player affair that picks up shortly after Jak 3 while focusing on platforming, combat, and vehicles. Keira has set out on a spirit quest and the boys are trying to figure out what is behind the world' sudden eco shortage. The journey will take the trio to "the Brink" of the universe -- the very place the Precursors didn't get around to finishing -- so expect jagged rocks and cliffs that lead to nothingness.

PS2 News | Jak III
We've a bunch of new screenshots of Jak 3, the next instalment of the rather tasty platform-cum-action series from developers Naughty Dog.There still aren't any game details to speak of but the series shifted its gameplay leanings from platform to action in Jak II: Renegade and we presume this third outing will similarly put the emphasis on action-based gameplay.Publishers Sony will no doubt break their silence on Jak 3 and spill the beans at E3 next month. We'll be there and will bring you the ...
