PS2 News | FIFA Street
After NFL Street and NBA Street, it was only a matter of time before FIFA Street came along. (What next: SSX Street? Medal Of Honor Street?) But if you've got a good idea then why not run with it? (And boot it between the posts before wheeling away with your shirt over your head.)So to follow the announcement last month of the latest in a very long line of FIFAs, EA have decided to release four highly polished shots of the game from a unnamed console version. At the moment, the gameplay details ...

PS2 News | FIFA Street
EA have announced the first details of FIFA Street, a new football title that takes the beautiful game to the streets. The game is based around an urban arcade-styled kick-around where a good right peg and on-the-ball flair will earn you and your team kudos as well as victory.Venues from around the world (Brazilian beach footie, anyone?) will feature four-on-four matches as well as one-on-one encounters - where besting your immediate opponent requires skill, technique and specific moves. ...

PS2 News | Fight Club
Based on the excellent film Fight Club, Vivendi's beat-'em-up of the same name is being developed for PS2 and Xbox and first impressions are very promising. Unashamedly brutal and gritty, it features that one element most beat-'em-ups spurn - body damage that affects subsequent gameplay. Ooooh, we like. The game not only uses the film settings and action (naturally, seeing as it involves fisticuffs) but also follows the story. The element that has us excited is the aforementioned damage aspect. ...

PS2 News | Fight Night Round 2
Boxing is more than just the noble art of punching someone repeatedly in the face until they fall over. There's also biting, brain damage and selling branded electric grills to gutbuckets worldwide. But from Frank Bruno's Boxing onwards, no game ever managed to really make us feel like we were be part of that brutal world. That is until the original Fight Night came along. Sure, it looked good, but what made it great was the Total Punch Control. Which instead of being the usual load of raging ...

PS2 News | Fight Night Round 2
We always like a bit of a punch-up to start the week, so we're pleased to see these new screens of Fight Night, Electronic Arts' follow-up to their long-running Knockout Kings series.Compared to its predecessors, the main difference you'll notice is in the interface - a system called Total Punch Control makes use exclusively of the analogue sticks, with nary a hint of button bashing in sight. At first, we were having horrible flashbacks to Square's early PS2 grappling game All Star Pro ...
