PS2 - Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli - Activision partners with System 3 for Ferrari title UK publisher signs distribution deal for North America.
Activision has signed a distribution deal with System 3 to handle the UK publisher's forthcoming Ferrari Challenge game throughout North America.

Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli will hit shelves in late summer on PS3, PS2 Wii, DS.

"Without a doubt, this is the defining Ferrari experience for video games," said Mark Cale, CEO at System 3.

"It has been a collaboration with professionals on every level and we've truly captured the power, beauty, and excitement that is the Ferrari Challenge Series. This excitement is taken to a whole new level with the partnership of Activision's power within the North American marketplace."

"For the last 60 years Ferrari has been synonymous with precision, performance and elegant design, so expectations for the game will be high from auto enthusiasts and racing game fans alike," added Dave Oxford of Activision Publishing.

"Everyone involved in Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli has been dedicated to ensuring this product over-delivers on the experience of this legendary brand."

System 3 and Activision will showcase Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli on PS3 to for the first time at the Montreal Grand Prix on Friday and over the weekend.

PS2 - FIFA 08 - LOVEFiLM expects Creed to top its game rentals, sales LOVEFiLM, Europe's number one online DVD rental service, expects Assassin's Creed to top sales and rentals this holiday season.

"Assassins Creed will definitely be up there; our audience have already heavily pre-ordered this and the sure scale of the experience is very cinematic, so will prove popular amongst film fans," Chris Bird, head of marketing services for LOVEFiLM, told GamesIndustry.biz.

"Kane and Lynch will also do well, as will Call of Duty 4. FIFA 08 and PES will also be 'must buy' for anyone getting a new console over Christmas."

PS2 - FIFA 08 - Current Australian Best Sellers After more than a month at the top, Halo 3 finally relinquishes control of the software chart down under.

Last week's No2, Crash of the Titans for PS2, wrestles top spot from Master Chief, while FIFA 08 is up seven places to No3.

SingStar RnB makes two entries this week, the standard edition charting at No4, and the bundle pack at No9.

Sega's Football Manager 2008 has entered the UK's all-formats chart at number one this week, knocking EA's FIFA 08 off the top spot.

Accounting for 38 per cent of all PC titles sold in the past week, Sports Interactive's management sim is Sega's first multiformat number one title since last year's version of the popular football franchise.
