PS2 News | Call of Duty: Finest Hour
From just below the bottom line of a financial report so dull that it could take all the enamel off your teeth, comes the rather exciting news that Activision are planning a pair of follow-ups to their huge selling and rippingly good fun PC shooter, Call of Duty, and its console cousin, .Pencilled in to appear in the next financial year - so between April 2005 and March 2006 - the pair of shooting sequels have been confirmed by the grandest of all the fromages at Activision, Mr Ron ...

PS2 News | Call of Duty: Finest Hour
It's all-too-easy to feel jaded by the seemingly endless barrage of war games these days but, based on what we've seen of it so far, Call of Duty: Finest Hour could yet make us eager to storm back into virtual combat. We first saw the World War II console outing - a completely different game to the original PC Call of Duty, incidentally - at this year's E3, where its Stalingrad level impressed with its grimly authentic sense of battlefield panic. The latest tank-based demo that we've seen of the ...

PS2 - Canis Canem Edit - Bully banned in Brazil

A Brazilian judge has banned the sale of Rockstar's Bully.

Judge Flavio Rabello barred the sale of the game in Brazil (we're assuming that's all versions), following a request from a youth centre in Brazilian state Rio Grande do Sul.

The "aggravating factor" resulting in the Bully ban, says State prosecutor Alcindo Bastos, is the fact that "everything in the game takes place inside a school," which apparently isn't fair ...

PS2 - Canis Canem Edit - UK Writers' Guild Rewards Canis Canem Edit News After the furore surrounding Rockstar Games' Canis Canem Edit (a.k.a. Bully) eventually died down, few could argue that all the game contained was mild school ground pranks that left a warm, fuzzy feeling of nostalgia inside.

Thankfully, it seems that despite all the negative press, Canis Canem Edit has finally received the recognition that it deserves, picking up Best Videogame Script award at last night's Writer's Guild of Great Britain Awards 2007.

PS2 News | Canis Canem Edit
Let the haters and the old ladies complain about how those newfangled video computer games teach us to be killers; we've always taken the view that violent games are a pressure valve for blowing off steam in a harmless way. Don't believe it? Play something fierce and bloody the next time you're in a really bad mood, and then try telling us you didn't feel better afterward. But why stop there? If games can keep you from climbing a clock tower and expressing your inner pain in the form of ...

PS2 - Canis Canem Edit - Bully 2 ??? Industry Analyst Says No When it launched in October, reviewers gave Rockstar's controversial PS2 title Bully high marks. But don't expect Bully 2, says a leading financial analyst who covers the video game industry.

Michael Pachter (left), Managing Director of Research for Wedbush Morgan Securities, told GamePolitics:

"Bully sales trailed off pretty dramatically in November. In October, the regular edition of the game sold 125,000 units (I think that the collector's edition sold another 30,000 units¿) in the U.S., so we should assume it sold a combined 250,000 worldwide.

In November, Bully sold 105,000 units¿ My guess is that the game did NOT sell particularly well at holiday, so probably another 150,000 units worldwide in December. We expect it to sell another 200,000 or so units over the next few months, and to disappear from retail shelves.

Those estimates total 800,000 units at an average wholesale price of around $30, so it will likely generate around $24 million in revenues. Since the game took three years to develop, it likely cost Take-Two close to $15 million in R&D, and my guess is that the company did no better than to break even. I would NOT expect a sequel."

PS2 News | Canis Canem Edit
It's obvious this new Christmas-themed Bully trailer was divinely inspired by the baby Jesus - there's bitch-slaps, scrotum-squeezing wedgies, and children simulating what its like to smack buttocks during intercourse. Just look at this guy down below. Thats just one tiny example of how hardcore this little clip is. So sponge it into your brain, vomit it out upon your friends, and thank us with a firm spanking. Just click the Movies tab above and search hard for the Christmas video. Happy ...
