PS2 News from N4G | Call of Duty 3
PS2 - Call of Duty 3 - Call of Duty 3 dated for the UK Activision has confirmed the UK release dates for Call of Duty 3. The game will arrive on the Xbox 360 on November 10, followed by a PlayStation 2 version on November 24, and the Wii version on December 1 - a week before the UK launch of the Wii. The PlayStation 3 version will launch with the system next year.

It's not unusual for launch software to be released prior to the console, and with Call of Duty 3 likely to be one of the Wii's biggest sellers, buyers have an extra week to pick the game up and be ready for launch.

The Xbox 360 release of Call of Duty 3 starts an impressive month of shooters for the system. A week later Microsoft's Gears of War lands in the UK, followed by Rainbow Six Vegas the week after.

PS2 News | Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 3 features a stronger multiplayer section than the previous games in the series did, not least because of the introduction of vehicles - tanks, jeeps and motorbikes all feature in 360's Xbox Live 24-player matches. While multiplayer scraps will never match the intensity of the single-player game's scripted blitzkrieg, it could still be a lot of fun - even if we're not exactly short of online games to play where we shoot lots of ...

PS2 - Call of Duty 3 - GC06: Call of Duty 3 Multiplayer Fresh from GC2006 and also from chatting up Activision, CoD3 is shown and it is looking very sweet. As much as it pains me to say, CoD3 looks better than CoD2 by a good way. Some of the info from the event is as follows.

PS2 News | Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 3 was officially confirmed this morning by Activision. The latest chapter in the World War II shooter series is currently in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. All versions are due to be released this fall. Very little was announced beyond those core details. We do know that the game deals with the Liberation of Paris, which pegs the action in late 1944. That was the final stage of Operation Overlord, better known to many as the ...

PS2 News | Call of Duty: Finest Hour

PS2 News | Call of Duty: Finest Hour
It's all-too-easy to feel jaded by the seemingly endless barrage of war games these days but, based on what we've seen of it so far, Call of Duty: Finest Hour could yet make us eager to storm back into virtual combat. We first saw the World War II console outing - a completely different game to the original PC Call of Duty, incidentally - at this year's E3, where its Stalingrad level impressed with its grimly authentic sense of battlefield panic. The latest tank-based demo that we've seen of the ...
