  • Sony have just launched the , their belated response to Xbox's Halo. There's no real game info on the site yet but there are a few buttons to twiddle with, most notably a new teaser trailer. The FMV trailer shows an enormous Third Reich-style army being assembled, square-bashing style (but not quite getting into the goose step). While the screenshot to the right gives you an idea of proceedings, it won't convey the sheer enormity of the army. Futuristic choppers dust off and we're left with the
  • Street Racing Syndicate, developed by Eutechnyx and snapped up by Namco, aims to push two well worn brain-buttons - cars and girls. It's not big, it's not clever and... cor, eh? Ahem.Focusing on the surely-so-big-it's-not-cool-anymore street import scene, SRS takes place on the streets of LA, Philly and Miami and stews in a now-customary soup of cops, car betting, paint jobs, parts and customisation. Well, it worked for Need for Speed: Underground. If further incentive is needed, consider the

  • Capcom have finally announced the UK release date for Resident Evil Outbreak. It'll hit shelves in September but, as we'd long suspected, the online component won't be included. Instead, UK gamers will have to make do with two CPU-controlled characters who join you on your zombie-slaying misadventures. While both the Japanese and US versions of the game include the full online mode, Capcom cite the fact that there are "far more technical difficulties bringing an online game to PAL territories

  • Here are the latest shots of Sony's Getaway 2 from developers Team Soho. While the story isn't a continuation of The Getaway, characters from the original game will be present. Multiple playable characters are promised, although exactly how many hasn't been revealed. The main guy appears to be amateur boxer cum bouncer cum muscle-for-hire Eddie O'Connor but even that may be overstating the case when you consider that director Naresh Hirani has said "the second game tells the story from a number
  • New screenshots of Sony's uber-first-person shooter Killzone have just surfaced. Often referred to as a potential Halo-beater, it's way too soon to come to such a conclusion but its look and quality does invite comparisons to the classic Xbox shooter.Although there isn't any page furniture on these screens, they are in-game shots of the title in action. We've seen Killzone up-and-running and can tell you that the furniture is typical FPS, although kept pretty much to a minimum with ammo,
  • After Sony Europe originally , the company has just confirmed that the demo version of GT4 will reach these shores at the end of May.Originally released in Japan in December in a bid to tide gamers over until the release of GT4 proper, the demo includes four tracks from the full game: Tsukuba circuit, Fuji speedway, Italian urban district and the Grand Canyon. In addition, the PAL version is also said to include a host of bonus features that weren't included in the original Japanese release,
  • Rockstar have released new shots of the PC and Xbox versions of their ultra-violent stealth-'em-up Manhunt, which was first released in November for PS2.Set in the run-down urban nightmarescape of Carcer City, the game places you in the role of a convicted killer who must escape from gangs of hunters prowling the streets. While the gruesome kills and stealthy gameplay can become a bit repetitive after a while, Manhunt still ranks as a hugely entertaining action-adventure which, if you don't
