A furious comeback saves the day for the venerable hoops series

The bottom line is that NBA Live 07 is a pretty darned good hoops sim - once you adjust the wonky default sliders. Without it, the shooting doesn't give an inch, no matter how well you time your release. Frankly, we don't like having to mess with the game's guts that way, but we did, and eventually settled into a fine little groove that we're happy to be in for another year on the hardwood.
