The Facebook page for this year's Golden Joystick Awards is offering a genuinely unique incentive to grow its followers: if they reach 15,000 fans by the end of July it will give away an ultra-collectable (and valuable) Metal Gear Kubrick figure.

Konami America recently reported that it will close US online servers for the game but Konami Europe will keep them alive.
A post on Konami's website reads: "The European MGS3 Subsistence Servers will stay online. Indeed, Konami recently announced a dedicated league system - www.MGS3LEAGUE.com - which will continue to provide services for fans of the game."
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence launched last October in Europe and it looks like there's plenty of legs left in the game yet.

October 2006 will see the release of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence which will mark Solid Snake's last outing on PlayStation 2.
