Besides the pretty moving pictures, the next-gen versions boast Madden Gamer Level, which tracks and assesses your skills online to see how you stack up against the rest of the world. Xbox Livers will have specific achievements connected with Gamer Level, and Madden 07 even boasts multiplayer minigame battles for when regular gameplay or stats just don't offer enough competition.

On top of all these new and improved features, EA and ESPN are rubbing elbows enough lately to bring a live sports ticker our way, with other features to be announced. High-def Madden, stuffed competition, multiple playing modes and a live sports feed? Clear our schedules... 'til January.
