Killzone

Killzone breaks cover. Again

E3 2004: More shots of the PS2 FPS of the moment...

  • Gritty sci-fi FPS Killzone aims to make you "look at the genre in a different way", claims Ami Blaire, director, product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America, without explaining what she means. Sideways, perhaps?

The Guerilla developed shooter needs little in the way of hype, however, and the deafening buzz surrounding the title should see it safely through to its projected autumn release. Based in near-future colony Vecta, the game tells the story - through the medium of large guns and bloody kills - of an attempted invasion. Touching as this sounds, we're more concerned with how the squad-based play actually pans out, both off- and on-line.
