Really, though, it's ridiculous and pointless to criticise: Guitar Hero II is absolutely brilliant. This isn't SingStar: the joy of twiddling through a difficult solo is a reward in itself, whether you like the song or not.

The first night we got it, we thought one of us had got carpal tunnel syndrome from playing it too much. Christ help us when we have to start playing on Expert mode just to get our kicks.
