Guitar Hero II

Also known as: Guitar Hero 2, GH2

Everyone with arms should buy this game

Experienced Guitar Hero players will find plenty to challenge them, as Guitar Hero II is much more difficult in the Hard and Expert modes than the first game was, and that’s before you see the first of the three-fret chords. By the time we hit the third tier of five songs on Hard in GH2 we were working harder than we did in the sixth tier on GH.

At the final bow, Guitar Hero II is better in every way than the previous game. The only possible improvements we can think of are online play (maybe in the 360 version?) and maybe a few more modern tunes to complement its ear-splitting collection of classic jams.

Unless you hate rock, you need this game.
