This past weekend at Nickel City in Northbrook Illinois was Frosty Faustings IV. The tournament featured tons of great players, including Elvin Shadow, Wolfkrone, and the return of MK9s EVO Champion, Perfect Legend. One guy even flew out from the Netherlands just to compete in Guilty Gear. It was a pretty awesome event with tons of hype matches for each game. Here are the results from FFIV along with the stream archives for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition ver. 2012, Mortal Kombat, King of Fighters XIII, BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend, Melty Blood, and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core.

Well it looks like its going to be yet another slow week across all formats, which is sadly somewhat of a tradition leading up to the summer months; publishers being under the highly misinformed opinion that most gamers, particularly those of summer vacation age, would rather expose themselves to the vicious dangers of the outside world in order to bask in lethal solar rays rather than just stay inside and play video games all day. The situation is particularly grim for 3DS owners; last week they got their first taste of crappy movie tie-in produce with Thor: God of Thunder and this week all theyve got to look forward to is the much delayed former launch title Steel Diver, a game so mind numbingly simplistic that it makes us at Push-Start wonder how it ever managed to reach retail. Then again, with the highly questionable PS3 re-release of the year old PC/Xbox 360 title Sniper: Ghost Warrior and the highly questionable existence of Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 also on schedule...

Joe Trotter of One More Castle writes: 'Amid all the excitement of some rich folk swapping rings and legitimate fluids the world has forgotten that a new set of games are being released but that is where we come in. OMC never forgets, and like a ghilly in the mist or a zombie on your tail we never stop serving our purpose to inform and (hopefully) entertain. Now the ad-lib manifesto has been launched, lets take a look at the best of this weeks UK releases . . .'

European gamers are about to get a burst of Arc System Works games in 2010. New PAL publisher pQube will release Castle of Shikigami III, Jake Hunter, and Theresia in Europe. Before the pQube and Zen Media partnership, 505 Games used to handle Arc System Works stuff like Guilty Gear Accent Core and the occasional JRPG. In addition to working with Arc System Works, pQube has a deal with Ertain. That Japanese publisher used to make the Gladiator games, but now focus on the relaxing genre with stuff like Paint Classic Masterpieces.
