RockstarNetwork.net reports: "We previously reported on GTA: III and GTA: Vice City coming to the Playstation 3, and I just did a quick search to see if there was any other developments and both games have been removed from that particular listing. While the games are no longer listed as having a rating for the Playstation 3, this leads us to believe that either someone let the cat out of the bag to early, or Sony made a mistake in the first place."

Kotaku writes: Curiously, a new rating turned up yesterday on Australia's Classification Board website for a game that was first released nearly eight years ago. Wonder why that would be? As you can see below, the rating is fresh as of yesterday, for what's tagged as a modified version of the classic Grand Theft Auto title Vice City. There's little else of use to be gained from the rating (the Multi Platform bit is often inaccurate on Aussie ratings).

Gamertag Radio writes: Just got the news from Miss Info. Hip Hop legendary DJ Mr Magic passed away this morning. Gamers that don't know about DJ Mr Magic, he is a Hip Hop radio pioneer since the late 70's. Also if you played GTA Vice City he also had his own old school Hip Hop station. I still have old tapes of his shows. RIP to DJ Mr Magic.

If you've never touched said games then the Grand Theft Auto Triple Pack launches on July 31st for £17.99. Yes, £17.99. That's about 100 hours worth of game for under £20. Bar-gain.

Kotaku writes: While we've seen countless story regarding children using Grand Theft Auto as their inspiration to do wrong, it's extremely rare that we see news about GTA being cited as a cause for good. It happened on August 27th around 9pm, as the Norris family of five was heading to Diamond, Illinois to visit relatives. Their 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee swerved off the road, hitting a guardrail and flipping four times before coming to a stop, caving in the roof and smashing out the back window. With her mother hanging upside down and her father pinned against the steering wheel, 11-year-old Audrey Plique climbed out of the back window and helped her parents and two younger siblings escape the car. The motivation for her heroic act, according to her mother Karen Norris? 'She just knew, from playing 'Grand Theft Auto.' She saw on there that when a car rolls over, it can blow up. She knew that could happen to us'
