Bugbear Entertainment has today announced that global sales of racing sequel FlatOut 2 topped 500,000 units during the first three months following the game's release. The title was launched on Xbox, PlayStation2, and PC back in June 2006, with BugBear currently working on a new instalment in the series - FlatOut Ultimate Carnage for Xbox 360.

The only thing better than tearing ass around a racetrack is doing it with murderous intent. That's why we like these nasty new screens from FlatOut 2 - they put the car in carnage. While the game will certainly get a lot of attention for its sadistic minigames, there's still a track-based demolition racer in there, too, and these new screens show more of that core gameplay. Empire Interactive has released details and shots of FlatOut 2, the sequel to its extreme racing game that combined detail and tight physics with over the top action.
