GamerBlipsRevenge's breathtaking sense of speed holds the key to its appeal - lean on the turbo boost and this game becomes pants-wettingly fast, with detailed visuals that never lag behind the action. The controls take very little time to master; responsive steering leads to smooth, subtle drift turns and precise near-misses that can be engineered on the fly. There's more opportunities to go airborne here than in Burnout 3, so being able to steer the car mid-flight is a welcome addition, too.
Gran Turismo and Forza can spin their wheels over who's more realistic - arcade racing fans who want to go fast and cheat death in a pure escapist speed fantasy will be perfectly overstimulated by Burnout Revenge instead. It's a must-own.
