Bully

Dan Houser, vice-president of creativity for Rockstar Games, says the company “adores” cult 2006 title Bully and is waiting for the right time to begin developing a sequel. Houser says it's a matter of scheduling, telling Gamasutra that “we will see what we can do with Bully” after Bully developer Rockstar Vancouver has finished work on Max Payne 3...

ZeniMax Asia K.K. announced today that Bethesda Softworks will ship Bully for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation[Registered]2 computer entertainment system to Japanese retailers on July 24th. Bully, the critically-acclaimed title by Rockstar Games, allows you to experience the life of a troublesome schoolboy. With both single-player missions and 2 player mini games, you'll stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks on malicious kids, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the fictitious boarding school, Bullworth Academy. Originally released on the Xbox 360 in 2008 and the PlayStation[Registered]2 system in 2006, this is the first time the game will be available in the Japanese market.

Here come the karma police! Infamous anti-videogame attorney Jack Thompson, who was once ordered to get a mental check, has been recommended guilty for 27 of 31 misconduct charges, by Florida judge Dava Tunis.

Among the charges against Thompson are dishonest or fraudulent practices, knowingly making false statements in court and making statements intended only to "embarrass or burden" other parties.

A Brazilian judge has banned the sale of Rockstar's Bully.

Judge Flavio Rabello barred the sale of the game in Brazil (we're assuming that's all versions), following a request from a youth centre in Brazilian state Rio Grande do Sul.

The "aggravating factor" resulting in the Bully ban, says State prosecutor Alcindo Bastos, is the fact that "everything in the game takes place inside a school," which apparently isn't fair

After the furore surrounding Rockstar Games' Canis Canem Edit (a.k.a. Bully) eventually died down, few could argue that all the game contained was mild school ground pranks that left a warm, fuzzy feeling of nostalgia inside. Thankfully, it seems that despite all the negative press, Canis Canem Edit has finally received the recognition that it deserves, picking up Best Videogame Script award at last night's Writer's Guild of Great Britain Awards 2007.

Let the haters and the old ladies complain about how those newfangled video computer games teach us to be killers; we've always taken the view that violent games are a pressure valve for blowing off steam in a harmless way. Don't believe it? Play something fierce and bloody the next time you're in a really bad mood, and then try telling us you didn't feel better afterward. But why stop there? If games can keep you from climbing a clock tower and expressing your inner pain in the form of

When it launched in October, reviewers gave Rockstar's controversial PS2 title Bully high marks. But don't expect Bully 2, says a leading financial analyst who covers the video game industry. Michael Pachter (left), Managing Director of Research for Wedbush Morgan Securities, told GamePolitics: Bully sales trailed off pretty dramatically in November. In October, the regular edition of the game sold 125,000 units (I think that the collector's edition sold another 30,000 units¿) in the U.S., so we should assume it sold a combined 250,000 worldwide. In November, Bully sold 105,000 units¿ My guess is that the game did NOT sell particularly well at holiday, so probably another 150,000 units worldwide in December. We expect it to sell another 200,000 or so units over the next few months, and to disappear from retail shelves. Those estimates total 800,000 units at an average wholesale price of around $30, so it will likely generate around $24 million in revenues. Since the game took three years to develop, it likely cost Take-Two close to $15 million in R&D, and my guess is that the company did no better than to break even. I would NOT expect a sequel.

It's obvious this new Christmas-themed Bully trailer was divinely inspired by the baby Jesus - there's bitch-slaps, scrotum-squeezing wedgies, and children simulating what its like to smack buttocks during intercourse. Just look at this guy down below. Thats just one tiny example of how hardcore this little clip is. So sponge it into your brain, vomit it out upon your friends, and thank us with a firm spanking. Just click the Movies tab above and search hard for the Christmas video. Happy

Jack Thompson's current favorite game 'Bully' by RockStar Games has taken the top spot for the Gamefly most requested titles for the week! The game has gotten rave reviews and apparently features 'school boy on school boy' kissing. Here is the list:

Bully hero Jimmy Hopkins is bisexual, or just experimenting, based on videos starting to surface. Looks like the controversy about Bully was a bit premature, as Hopkins obviously prefers to make love, not war. This is not Hot Coffee by any stretch of the imagination -- just kids kissing. Now before everybody goes crazy, depending on your moral sensibilities, there are two videos after the break. Gamebrink's version is quick like a band-aid, with one smooch session. Of course, GayGamer's version has Jimmy going back for seconds -- nope, thirds -- wait, fourths.
