That Gaming Site Writes: Since it's release Alone in the Dark has received some pretty harsh criticism regarding the control scheme. Even we here at That Gaming Site admit the controls could use some work! Atari has taunted us with a patch that may never make it to the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game! Instead of waiting for the day that may never come we have found a way to make your experience with the controls a little more tolerable!

Gamedaily.biz writes: Break out the champagne. After endless losses, Atari has posted a net income of $3.5 million for its first quarter. The release of Alone in the Dark was a big factor. A couple weeks ago French publisher Infogrames reported its own first quarter fiscal results, revealing a 91 percent rise in sales, which was driven in large part by a strong recovery of the U.S. business (i.e. Infogrames' subsidiary Atari). Today, Atari announced its own fiscal results, and Infogrames wasn't kidding: Atari posted a profit of $3.5 million for the quarter, a vast improvement from the net loss of $11.9 million during the same period last year.

Videogamer writes: Atari has revealed it wants more from its major summer release, Alone in the Dark, despite the title placing at No.1 in the Xbox 360 chart and at No.3 in the All Formats chart. The positive review scores continue to come in and marketing support is scheduled to run through to the end of August, Atari product manager Ben Walker told MCV. Our target now is to build upon the start and keep Alone in the Dark selling through-out the summer We found Alone in the Dark to be one of the most disappointing games of the year so far, scoring only 6/10 despite much early promise and plenty of good ideas

Ripten's Chad Lakkis writes: The past few weeks of videogame publisher drama have been for the most part dedicated to the dispute between Tecmo and their former Rockstar/Director Tomonobu Itagaki, however Tecmo will need to move over and make room for another old school publisher. German videogame site 4players.de claims to be involved in apparent legal battle with Atari stemming from the sites review of Alone in the Dark, a multiplatform horror/action game published by Atari in June of 2008. Keeping in mind that the original article is in German, and it is well beyond the normal business hours we would utilize to obtain a comment from Atari, we were able to loosely interpret the following information from the public complaint aired on the German gaming site:
