PEGI has become the sole authority for age-restricting videogames in the UK as of today as the BBFC relinquishes responsibility. But does it really matter when so few people seem to care about them anyway?
The internet is like an infinitely large cave full of infinite angry bears. The bears must be satiated for the good of mankind, but we only have so much food (content) with which to stuff the cave in order to stop the bears bursting out and killing everyone. Thus we must enlist the help of our noble colleagues and compatriots across the internet. This week we have made this stuff. We have made lots of other stuff as well, but this is our favourite stuff.
New IPs are scary. They're unfamiliar and different. People fear change. That's probably why The Last of Us got very little public attention until E3 this year, despite coming from the team behind Uncharted. But is there an exact science to releasing new game ideas? Ubisoft's boss thinks there is, and he says now is really not the time.
