We knew Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, and Assassin's Creed would have big sales, but just who beat who? We got the US sales stats for the top ten biggest sellers of November, plus a list of what all the consoles sold too. Here's a hint: everything sold a whole bunch of units...
Here's a Japanese trailer for Atlus' Persona 4 The Golden. No pared-back remake or genre-bending spinoff, this: the PlayStation Vita remake has all the content of the PS2 original and then some...
Sci-fi's greatest Time Lord (no, not Inspector Spacetime... sadly) is getting another go at gaming infamy
with the 2012 release of Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock for PS3,
PS Vita and PC. What great intergalactic dangers will the Doctor and
his companion face this time? To be honest, we're
really not quite sure, but judging by BBC Worldwide's teaser trailer,
it will have something to do with a very important clock that's been
around for, say, an eternity...
Uncharted 3 looks like it's on its way to be the biggest game in the series yet, putting up impressive sales numbers since it launched last month. In an interview with IndustryGamers, Asad Quizilbash, product marketing manager for Uncharted 3, went into some details about the series' sales on the whole, and revealed that the Uncharted franchise has shipped over 13 million copies around the world, making it one of the more popular new IPs of this console generation. Man, that money could buy a lot of half-tucked shirts...
A new BioShock Infinite trailer is going to be unveiled at the Spike TV VGAs, and though we know absolutely nothing more than that, we do have a screenshot to both satiate our hunger for information, and to get us speculating...
Rayman creator Michel Ancel
is flattered by labels like “The French Miyamoto,” but says that as far
as he's concerned, the Mario games haven't
been an influence on his signature series at all. In fact, the designer says
he's not a fan of Nintendo's mascot: “I understand that people love it,
but it's not my cup of tea.” Yeah, well, Shigeru Miyamoto wasn't
too hot on Beyond Good & Evil either...
The Spike Video Game
Awards are starting to grow into a mini-E3 based on the number of announcements
lined up. We first heard of Metal Gear Solid Rising and Alan Wake announcements,
then BioWare's next game
and just this morning we posted news on a strange new PS3-exclusive.
Not wanting to be left out, Cliff Bleszinski is joining the announcement throw
down by revealing the reveal of Epic’s next game...

But it's not uncommon for those working in the videogame industry to band together for a charitable event to help those in need. Novum Initium is the latest benefit album dedicated to working musicians who struggle to make ends meet due to illness or disability.
One
of the first gaming magazines to hit newsstands, GamePro, is reportedly closing up shop. After over 20 years of producing monthly magazines (and a
recent switch to a quarterly format) and over ten years of running its website, the outlet will be ceasing its magazine production and closing down its site completely. While most of the
editorial staff is to be laid off, some will apparently be retained in
order to help GamePro Media in "refocusing its US business exclusively
on its growing custom publishing and solutions business."..
The
PlayStation Portable is months away from becoming the second best
handheld in Sony's stable, but that doesn't mean the company is done
learning a thing or two from its long and storied history. In fact,
in a recent chat with Official PlayStation Magazine, Sony CEO and
president Jim Ryan admitted the PSP's multi-media marketing strategy
was a little too confusing for consumers, and that it intends to avoid similar missteps by
swinging the focus back to gaming for the PlayStation Vita...
