The first trailer for the PlayStation Vita's Disgaea 3 Return has recently surfaced on Nippon Ichi's teaser site. The full site will go live on the August 18, but we already know two things: the game's name is Disgaea 3 Return and that the trailer follows in the grand tradition of Disgaea trailers in that it's way too confusing for us to tell what's going on (and we already played original PS3 version). Fortunately, the cinematic stampede of large Japanese text, bright flashes, and quick cuts to atmospheric vantage points also comes with a few straightforward announcements...

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice is coming to PlayStation Vita. Speaking to Japanese magazine Dengeki, Nippon Ichi CEO Sohei Niikawa confirmed that the turn-based strategy RPG will receive the handheld port treatment. The game has a new name, Disgaea 3 Return (or “Returns” depending on the translation), but it's not clear if Return will be a serious re-imagining or straight port to Vita. Niikawa didn't mention any gameplay changes, but he did talk about a handful of added features...

Sony has released US pricing
details for the proprietary memory cards to be used by the
PlayStation Vita. The cards will cost you $29.99 for 4GB, $44.99 for
8GB, $69.99 for 16GB or $119.99 for 32GB high-rollers. This is comparable with Sony's own pricing on the PSP's Memory Stick storage – which is lucky, as you won't be able to do much
without one...
