Now, with the street beat, it's time to retire to our personal skate pad, a HQ and mini-stage whose layout is completely decided by you. Up to 200 pieces of furniture can be placed around this hangar-sized area, purchased with money earned from your career (you can also earn cash through online play, this time around).
The props vary from typical skatepark components - kickers and rails - up to bulldozers, SUVs, waterfalls and even massive, wall-mounted TV screens that will play unlockable videos (including a Rolling Stones music vid). You can rig up cameras, custom challenges or deck the whole place out in a theme, such as "Dojo" or ultra-bling "Chrome ."
So, is Proving Ground any good? We can't answer that. We've not yet seen anything significant of the challenges, cut-scenes or the quality of online play. All we've done is cruise and once again get excited about concocting super-massive score combos. Asking us if it’s any good at this point is like asking a heroin addict if heroin is any good.
