Gears of War 3 (Xbox 360): Gears of War: The Board Game coming this fall
FFG, as mentioned earlier, does make some decent games. When I initially saw titles like starcraft, warcraft, battlestar etc., I thought they were just trying to slap a name on a generic game, but they really put a lot of thought into their games. I still haven't worked up the nerve to play the starcraft game, it's crazy complex and apparently good fun, I wouldn't be surprised seeing a number of blizzard people listed in the credits of the game. But a game supposedly lasts 5 hours or so, and this board game cafe I play these games at charges by the hour :s BTW $80 is most likely only the retailer recommended price, sites like Amazon and boardgame revolution regularly charge less than what you'd pay for the sets if you got it directly from the manufacturer, you can look at paying up to $25 - $30 less.

If I'm not mistaken, Vince and Zampella are trying, and can only realistically lay any claim, to get rights to the 'modern warfare' IP. I don't think they can get 'Call of Duty'... But that's ok with me, I'd love for them to grab that name from activision so kotick can't keep feeding off its popularity to keep shoving games down our throats. It might not sound like much, but that name alone is big business.... Besides, modern warfare only happened because of those two insisting on it.

My girlfriend wants this game real badly, (she's got something against zombies or something) I was going to get the regular edition, but getting her this special edition would be a total win for me. Alas I don't reside in the U.S. of A. . . I'm willing to pay postage?

I'm embarrassed to be an xbox 360 owner right now... I cringe at imagining how the masterminds behind this crap must've been thinking, and probably still do, how heavy and awe-inspiring this was. Redonkulous.

balls. . . i didn't read the comments all the way through. Things look a lot more forgiving as I read through to the end, and a lot of other people pointed out the music was probably just trailer trash before me. . . and more succinctly... ... I'm just gonna go take a time out now.

I'm just curious as to where the music's from, I'm not saying 'Faake!' or nothing, but looking at the video, it's clearly not all in-game, and the showing-off of the huge number of assassination moves, 'awesome' spartan running etc. make me think it's just like a promo video for hyping the supposed badassery of reach. I really doubt it's actually in game music, based on what it sounds like, not because I doubt the journalistic integrity of such an august online publication as GR... :) There seems to be a lot of MS hating going around right now, I hated the massive amount of time devoted to Kinect too, but I'm still pretty impressed with what they DID show apart from it.... definitely not enough @$%&@* WOW!! moments though, none for me really except for the 360 slim unveiling...m then I realized it wasn't anything all that special...
