I lol'd at the paragraph about us buzzing over blood gulch because I really was waiting for it the entire time!
The "MAPS" rockband one had me laughing too xD That was awesome. Great feature.
Was that space-bimbo from the Ace Fox (or whatever it was called) game Jenna from 30 Rock? She looks and sounds just like what I'd imagine a much younger version of her to be like.
The Jack Thompson picture was hilarious. Did he actually say that or was that just a parody?
"It does make us wonder why the developer persisted with a main character based on a creature generally considered as being a massively creepy, ugly-faced bastard"
When Stan Lee first created Spiderman, people thought he was nuts and that no one would follow the character because they all hated Spiders. But I guess they were proven wrong!
What I found strange was how Russia just went from, "OUR DUDES ARE DEAD!" TO "KILL AMERICA!". Like they'd just go in guns blazing, forfeiting just about all the relations between them and us that have come out of the past 24 years?
Jackthemenace is right about Nero being the real reason for hating. He wasn't bad, but even after replaying and replaying it, Dante still was the best and will be.
Even being a 360 fanboy, I was a little peeved about DMC4 coming out on the 360. I got it for the PS3 just because of the nostalgia, though.
I'm an Xbox 360 fanboy, former PS2 fanboy. I hate the PS3 and I hate the Wii.
I also hate Final Fantasy, Halo and Solid Snake.
I love Devil May Cry, Splinter Cell, and Grand Theft Auto.
I feel like I'm the only person who still talks about how Rainbow Six Vegas: 2 might have been the best game ever.
Some of these were good, but this article seemed to have swine flu syndrome: it made news out of things that didn't deserve news. A lot of these things weren't easter eggs at all.The article just seemed a bit half-baked, that's all.
When I read about how you can get to grandmother's house in under a minute if you don't get off the path, I literally said, "That's genius!" The concept is so nice. A shame that the graphics don't have the same power to reinforce the type of experience.
Playing a game like that with the realistic polish of a game like, say, Arkham Asylum, would be an incredible experience.
Also, as a writer of short stories, the concept for "The Lurking Horror" really gave me inspiration for a new story!
Now here's the question that I've had that has bothered me for a while.
I bought GTA:4 and loved it. I downloaded the Lost and the Damned and loved it. I don't have my copy of GTA:4 anymore, any by extension, the Lost and the Damned. I have yet to play the Ballad of Gay Tony, and I REALLY want to.
I was wondering, would it be worth it for me to buy this package? On one hand, I'm a GTA fanatic and I loved tLatD, and on another hand, that's kind of a lot of money. I'm totally willing to play tLatD again, but is it worth it for me to re-buy it, just to *really* be playing the Ballad of Gay Tony?
Thanks, I'd really appreciate the help, if you guys could.
I live in Pittsburgh, and I don't know if anyone will call you out on it (and if they have, I haven't bothered to check), but you left the 'H' out at the end. They changed that around the turn on the last century.
Good article, though. House of the Dead 2 was one of my favorite games, and the dialogue was hilariously the worst I've ever seen in a game.
