I've often dreamed that Roland's opus might be made into an awesome game. The whole nature of the story lends itself to the whole video game experience. If red dead met fallout 3, this could be spectacular.
Let's not forget the faces of our fathers though...
RicePud- Yeah, it wasn't spectacular, but seeing the guy you'd spent hours of your life with trying to redeem himself getting blown away in a hail of gunfire from a corrupt government... sacrificing himself for his wife and child?
End of Red Dead was a definite highlight. Almost as affecting as the end of Undead Nightmare *spoiler* when Marsten climbs out of his grave and you can walk down to the bed in the barn. Look at the graffiti Marsten has scratched onto the wall and tell me you don't feel some real emotion.
Are we going to get a list of honourable mentions? Alan Wake, Deadly Premonition, New Vegas and Vanquish aren't in the same league as the listed, but they are all great games, albeit flawed
Red Dead by a country mile for me. From throwing horseshoes to family life to zombie apocalypse - not bad!
And lay off the cabbage and guiness, please...
