DRM: Necessary evil or consumer insult?
I'm throwing in my vote for necessary evil. Some people claim they only pirate because they find DRM to be an annoyance, but some people are dirty liars.

Is Windows 7 a revolution for PC gamers?
Answer: No. I just switched over from Vista to 7 and have since had tons of problems with my games. Red Faction: Guerrilla plays at double speed for some reason, Left 4 Dead 2 spontaneously combusts, Team Fortress 2 only plays on half the screen.... It's horrible.

QOTW: What's your fondest Sega memory?
I will never, ever, ever forget the hours and hours I sunk into Gauntlet Legends on the Dreamcast with my friend over the summers of third and fourth grade. Of course, in retrospect it's a pretty mediocre game, but when you're in third grade it is completely bad-ass to have your green archer pull out a MASSIVE bow and shoot dozens of arrows all at the same time. Ah, how many times I heard "Green Archer is about to die!" I'll never forget you, Gauntlet.

26 hilariously painful crashes of Trials HD
So, I have the Steam version of Trials (Trials 2 Second Edition or whatever) and I'm wondering if there's enough new content in the XBLA version to warrant the purchase. Anyone know?

Gah. Visual arts are too hard. How about giving us some acoustic arts challenges sometimes, GR?

Leaderboards on Geometry Wars 2. I've sunk so many hours getting so close, but a stray shape always gets me... Grr.

QOTW: What game are you most ashamed you never beat?
Grand Theft Auto IV. I got about halfway through, then my save corrupted and sent me back about a quarter of the game. Just all too frustrating.

QOTW: What game do you always go back to?
Aww, man, Gauntlet Legends, on the Dreamcast. In retrospect, it was a pretty mediocre game, but back in 4th grade or so my friend and I would play it for hours and hours during the summer.

QOTW: What's your biggest hobby aside from gaming?
Heh, funny story. One of my hobbies outside of gaming is parkour/tricking with some of my friends. Think Mirror's Edge but at a playground, dodging little kids instead of cops. So when I heard about Mirror's Edge coming out, I got really really pumped and, of course, preordered it. They released a really cool video with some neato tricks in it that I hadn't thought of. So my first impulse was to go try them out. I ended up breaking my wrist as a result, and had to sit and watch my brother play Mirror's Edge when it came out. Painful. recaptcha: Comb Officer.

Fallout 3: The Pitt
I agree with every aspect of this review. It was fairly fun to play through, but left me with a feeling of "...so what now?" I don't feel attached to the area and doubt I'll make many trips back even though they made a big deal about making it a replayable area. Eh.

Everything must GO!
My resolutions are as follows: -Finally stop bemoaning Dreamcast's premature death. -Actually beat GTA4 instead of just cheat-spawning copters and the like. -Mock 25% fewer PS3 owners (iffy) -Stop caring about DRM and let the developers do their thing. If you pick me, I'd be happy with a Legendary Graphic Novel, South Park Season 11, and/or the Statue of Happiness. And, of course, bragging rights that I won something from Gamesradar. That'll show 'em.

I hadn't really thought about a lot of what was presented in this article, but I guess it's mostly right, particularly with the Dead Space / Bioshock and Animal Crossing / Super Mario Galaxy comparisons. Great article.
