I'm throwing in my vote for necessary evil. Some people claim they only pirate because they find DRM to be an annoyance, but some people are dirty liars.

Answer: No. I just switched over from Vista to 7 and have since had tons of problems with my games. Red Faction: Guerrilla plays at double speed for some reason, Left 4 Dead 2 spontaneously combusts, Team Fortress 2 only plays on half the screen.... It's horrible.

I will never, ever, ever forget the hours and hours I sunk into Gauntlet Legends on the Dreamcast with my friend over the summers of third and fourth grade. Of course, in retrospect it's a pretty mediocre game, but when you're in third grade it is completely bad-ass to have your green archer pull out a MASSIVE bow and shoot dozens of arrows all at the same time. Ah, how many times I heard "Green Archer is about to die!" I'll never forget you, Gauntlet.

So, I have the Steam version of Trials (Trials 2 Second Edition or whatever) and I'm wondering if there's enough new content in the XBLA version to warrant the purchase. Anyone know?

Heh, funny story. One of my hobbies outside of gaming is parkour/tricking with some of my friends. Think Mirror's Edge but at a playground, dodging little kids instead of cops. So when I heard about Mirror's Edge coming out, I got really really pumped and, of course, preordered it. They released a really cool video with some neato tricks in it that I hadn't thought of. So my first impulse was to go try them out. I ended up breaking my wrist as a result, and had to sit and watch my brother play Mirror's Edge when it came out. Painful.

I agree with every aspect of this review. It was fairly fun to play through, but left me with a feeling of "...so what now?" I don't feel attached to the area and doubt I'll make many trips back even though they made a big deal about making it a replayable area. Eh.

I couldn't believe it when they announced that they were price-dropping L4D. Too bad I already bought it...

I gotta say, I do like the usage of Chopin for the Halo ad. All in all, I think that still was quite a cool ad...
