Just downloaded this today for my iphone out of curiousity as to what all the hype was. I freakin' love it. I don't get why Missile has four tails through.

The fact that they're giving props to REmake gives me some hope. It's definitely my favorite. I may actually have to pick up a 3DS in the next couple of weeks.
3 weeks, 3 days ago Everything we know about Resident Evil 6's mysterious Mercenary (and who we think it is)
Hunk is an Umbrella mercenary who was initially introduced in RE2 as part of the squad that was sent in to forcibly retrieve the G-Virus sample from William Birkin. Birkin injects himself with the virus and turns into a monster, killing the squad and kicks off the Raccoon City outbreak by releasing the T-Virus.

Hunk is the sole survivor of the squad and the "4th survivor" of Raccoon City, after Leon, Claire, and Sherry. He wakes up shortly after the attack, and escapes with the last sample of the G-Virus. He's reappeared in various Mercenary modes in various RE games since then.

Steve Burnside, on the other hand, is from Code: Veronica. He's being held on the same Umbrella prison island as Claire because his father was selling Umbrella secrets to competitor companies (I think). He and Claire are eventually captured by Alexia Ashford (the main villian of that game), and he is infected by the T-Veronica virus.

He hulks out into a monster and tries to kill Claire, but then comes to his senses and saves her from one of Alexia's giant tentacle things. For his efforts, he gets smashed by the tentacle and apparently dies. That said, Wesker says in one of his reports that his group managed to recover Steve's body before the base blew up, so who knows what's going on with that.

This is purely speculation on my part obviously, but I think that it is Alex Wesker, and (I really hope) the girl he's with isn't Ashley, but rather Sherry Birkin. According to the Wesker's Report disc that came with Code: Veronica X, Sherry has been in custody by Wesker's group ever since the end of 3. Wesker even ominously says "there's something about that girl" at the end of the report, leaving a plot thread hanging that I've been waiting to be resolved ever since. Unless Capcom retconned that out of course(in which case I'll be very disappointed).

My guess based on that? Alex helps Sherry escape and she accompanies him on whatever mission he's on. Her G-Virus infusion is what allows her to keep up with him and do all the crazy Uncharted stuff seen in the trailer.

In addition (and even more of a stretch), the patches on his jacket look suspiciously familiar to the eyes seen on individuals infected by the G-Virus, such as William Birkin and Lisa Trevor. They're even in the same location and have the same basic positioning.

Good job, Mr. Cooper.

Just thinking of playing through this game again fills me with a sense of dread. After I beat the original Xbox NG, I vowed to never touch this series again.

I'm looking forward to this. I enjoyed XIII, aside from the common story/linearity complaints. The only thing that worries me about XIII-2 is a comment from someone online who claimed to have beaten the Japanese version. They said that you play as Serah and Noel through the entire game, with the main characters from the prior game (including Lightning) only appearing in cameos. I sure hope that isn't true.

Everyone raises good points, but I've gotta say that I'm not feeling Mr. Cooper's extreme anger toward Bloodrayne. It was very challenging at times, but never to the point of being impossible. The part that (I believe) he mentioned on Tdar about having to jump on tiny platforms while being chased by a giant sawblade only took me about four or five tries to get through.

If I can get through that part, anybody can. I'm usually the first person to ragequit when a game is giving me trouble (I don't like being angered or frustrated by my escapist entertainment), and I managed to play through the entire game without much trouble.

TL;DR
Bloodrayne: Betrayal wasn't THAT hard, and this is coming from a guy who is actually afraid to play Dark/Demon's Souls because of their famous difficulty.

I'm expecting this to hit on the same day as Half Life 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Zone of the Enders 3. What is it with 3s?

I agree. I did get burned out on L.A. Noire after a while though.

Why haven't I "brought" Rayman Origins yet? Short answer: I'm waiting for the price to drop. Ubisoft keeps burning their hand on the stovetop with their crazy release schedule and pricing. Not only was it released amongst a sea of much higher profile games, it came out in direct competition against the newest installment of Ubi's biggest series.

It should have been a downloadable game or, barring that, at least been priced much more reasonably and not brought out in such a busy season. I would have gobbled that sucker up in the middle of the summer. In this day and age, you can't convince me that a 2D side-scroller cost as much to make as a Gears of War, a Skyrim, or an Uncharted. It's good, but not $60 good.
