Sony's problems seemed to start with one thing. They built the PS3 thinking their competition was CRAY, not Microsoft. This would explain the price (600$ is close to illegally cheap for a supercomputer), and the games (Deep Blue playing chess aside, you dont use supercomputers to play games).

Actually, I have been scared in 2 videogames. If you want to be scared, try this. Ravenholm, in the middle of the night, with no other sources of noise. If that doesn't work, wait for a room to fog up in Bioshock.

My theory is that Rapture is raised. The girl is a little sister. All the information the outside world would have is a guy with superpowers, the little sisters, and possibly Ryan's spiel. As such, the world thinks of Rapture as a dream city (hence the title)where there is a wealth of technology for the plundering.
