My fondest Simpsons game memory comes from The Simpsons: Hit and Run, from both brainstorming with my brothers on what Simpsons cars should be in the next one, and activating cheats on my oldest brother's game when he wasn't looking, such as the cheat that made it so whenever you honked your horn, your car would go flying.
While I'm inclined to say "This is some crazy sh!t", I have to admit, this is really cool and I have to wonder how we don't have something like this in the U.S. (closest I can think of is Internet Cafes)
Let's see, all the action figures will run you near $300 USD if I remember right, the art book is about $30 USD, there might be a Dr. Pepper promotion again, and those run about $1.75 USD a bottle (depends on where you buy really). Presuming you'll have to buy a few bottles in order to get all the DLC (let's say 10 bottles at $17.50 since you're likely to get the same DLC a few times), it's going to run you a bit over $347.50 USD, including taxes and shipping. If you want to throw in the pre-order bonuses and the N7 edition, then that goes up by another $140 or so (pre-ordering a regular copy of the game through Origin and pre-ordering the N7 Edition at GameStop)
I like art books though (I had the original Mass Effect art book as well as the Assassin's Creed one), so I'll ask the boyfriend to get me this as a birthday present.
God, what would happen if I won? The folks who frequent TalkRadar will find out how unbelievably boring I am, and that I don't look nearly as good as my crappy drawing! My sliver of internet notoriety will be done for!
I can't say for Japan, but based on my con experience, it was pretty clean. No one I knew who went got sick, but we did have sore feet and my temper was a bit short since I wasn't feeling too good due to lady problems.
I've been to NYCC and had a blast, but the Javits Center simply isn't big enough for the event, and that's the biggest convention center in New York. If I recall right, all four days were sold out when I went.
