shpongled commented on: Eight amazing games that prove Wii isn't dead |
|
| The Wii is proof that Nintendo have totally lost the plot imo. So in amongst the vast pile of crap that's released for it there may be some games worth playing? Woop-de-do. They'll still look crap on my HD panel, this is 2009 not 1999. The fact that an article like this is needed proves the point. |

| Looks good, I'm not interested in inter-console fanboy wars though, it's all very childish. All i'll say is - 20gb hard drive??? Seriously Microsoft, sort it out. Seriously though - ANYTHING is better than Shift, that game is a big pile of doggy doo-doo, on any console. |

| Played the demo and hated it... Everything about this game feels wrong to me for some reason. The handling is sluggish, with the assist on it's like someone else driving the car, and with it off it's undrivable... Horrible. |

| Cool stuff, Ken Block is class, but sitting next to Colin McRae would have made me shit my pants, knowing he was such a nutter, always on the ragged edge and about a millimetre away from a feckin HUGE accident would make anyone scared. | |

shpongled commented on: GRID (PS3): GRID |
|
| You guys have scored this game way too high. There's no feel to he handling at all, the steering is too light and twitchy making spinning a frequent and very frustrating event. Take the destruction derby event for example. The only one getting destroyed will be you. Show 'no mercy' as you're told to do and you'll end up spinning and in the wall. The other cars hit you and you spin and end up in the wall. If you hit them they carry on, if they hit you, they carry on, on rails. It's a good game, but NO WAY a nearly perfect 9. | |

| Grid is ok, it feels like the other cars are on rails though. It's way to easy for them to put you into the wall, but try it the other way round, and you still end up in the wall. | |

| I just don't like this one, I've loved the series up until now... The matches are just a hectic mess, though strangely even stupidly quick boxers like Ali feel sluggish, then every few seconds you get that irritating little pause as a counter is thrown. It gives me a headache and I'm not even the one getting punched... | |

shpongled commented on: Dirt 2 (Xbox 360): Colin McRae DiRT 2: Super Review |
|
| I was quite impressed with the demo, may well have a look at this as I enjoyed Dirt, but It was a little vanilla at times. Grid is ok if you don't mind AI that can shove you off the track and leave you facing the wrong way, but unable to have the same done to them. I hope Polyphony are paying attention! Unless they're keeping track of the competition they will be so far behind the game if they actually ever release GT5! |
