See, I wonder why Naruto gets the focus off all this hate. Their are plenty of crappy cartoons, yet Naruto manages to pull of good drawing style and a well made plot and gets a lot of hate for it? WTF?
I might get this game, but i need a new console first. Is this based of those cardgames in Japan, the datacardass?
Lighten up Pikachu, it's just a joke and many western cartoons get poked at a lot.
And @McDoobie:
No, it is not for faggots. Not all anime is childish. Have your seen Death Note? Elfen Lied? They are very mature and well made. So are some of the ones described as immature
First game I can remember buying on my own would have to be Okami... I think. I usually have to consult my parents though I just usually feel really unsure before a purchase. Still not out of school.
And I'm really reaaaaally sorry, but I bought it after Clover failed. Still, a great game and one I am glad to have
To be fair, Alyx worked very well and rarely dies unless you really play badly. I actually read someone say how it was cool that she was invincible, despite the fact she isn't
My dad tried to play Guitar Hero III once, he's not so bad with me playing games. However, he is bad at playing them himself. I don't think he managed to hit one note in one of the easiest songs in the game. My youngest sister played better than him.
What I hate is that my mum can't see videogames as a medium for deep stories. She thought it was weird when people cry over a videogame character dying, but when it's a movie or book - and I quote- "It's different." HOW? SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW IT'S DIFFERENT!
I just have to reiterate someone else, but 11*60=660, not 666. Also, they recently found it's a mistranslation. The mark of the anti-christ is meant to be 669
I actually make the button mistake often on my PSP, because I have a Japanese PSP, but largely play Australian sold games. I have to switch between the two which makes it hard when one of the funnest games is actually Japanese
I don't dislike America. They have made major mistakes, but so has pretty much every other country. I just get annoyed when Americans either call themselves underdogs or act as if they're the best. Everyone is equal and country has nothing to do with who you are since in the end countries are made by people, not the other way around
The series gets better the later it gets. Which annoys me because most people don't stay with it long enough to see the good parts. Though I liked it from the start
To RedOutlive 10:
Yes I played Final Fantasy VI. It was a great game. However, I find the stories both equal, though sometimes both annoy me slightly. And Celes is similar to Cloud in some aspects. However, I disagree with the Kefka thing. He was a good villain, but he was the type who was pathetic until he got the ultimate power. Sephiroth was always intimidating. It does deserve nolstagia, jut maybe not as much as everyone gives it. I don't have any for it, because I have only been playing it recently
America was hardly the underdog in WW@, they came in half way and were the only ones with nuclear weapons. And a lot of people weren't owned and America didn't take any of the brunt from the nazis and took credit for their defeat. USSR collapsed on itself while America was causing itself troubles. And you weren't the only army in the pacific (see: australia, who helped you a lot there).
America's not neccesarily bad, but they have messed up a lot
Actually, the black suit was introduced in kabuki, Japanese theatre, and probably wore something akin to samurai. And all sorts of ninja games have magic powers such as ninja gaiden
"81. Boomerangs are in fact extremely useful tools and potentially deadly weapons, and not crappy toys that fall on the ground every time you throw them."
Actually, boomerangs were used for hunting, so they must be dangerous. Probably broke necks.
Great article otherwise.
I'm playing FFVII now, and I'm finding it a great game. While the graphics haven't aged too well, I believe the story and characters are actually quite good. FFVI was good too, but they also had stereotyped characters and the story wasn't that "original" as people claim. I beleive them both to be good games
I'm neither of those things, and yet I think NAruto is cool. He, unlike a lot of character people find cool, has personality and a realness to him. People are allowed to have their own opinion. But they're right, he isn't a good ninja in the traditional sense. He's too easy to see, and he makes too much noise to sneak past enemies
