Reading this 3 years later, It's kinda funny how bad Sonic Seems now. I mean, here there were hopes for a good game with Secret Rings... which sucked. Then there was Unleashed... which sucked. Then there was that RPG I never played... Then there was Black Knight... which wasn't too good either. And As for Mega Man, well, the series seems to be attempting to pick itself up, because we have a Mega Man 10 on the way. Anyway, this list teaches us one thing. Just because it has a big name on the box, doesn't mean it's gonna be good...
Down with all of these, Especially Twisted Metal. Only one thing- XBLA plz. Actually, I would really love to see the Marathon series remade in HD, because I'm not sure the XBLA one is (of course, it probably is, but I haven't played it) But then again, It might just be like Halo.
Pretty good, I liked it. I read the top, and for some reason I thought of the "Saved Private Ryan" Achievement in WaW... maybe you should do famous movie achievements.
No Ezio Auditore Da Firenze? Damn, I wanted to see him. Ah, well. And Sly Cooper is such a badass. I wish I could still play the games, but my PS2 Broke. Oh, and thank you for not including Sora or anyone from KH in this list.
Gotta say, from the Capcom camp, I like the non-fighting game characters better so far. E.G, Viewtiful Joe, Frank West, the VS suit. Am so getting this. My only complaint is that I never played Mega Man Legends, so I don't really know or like Megaman Volnutt. I would have preferred to see original Megaman, and a 3-D Version of his Hyper Megaman combo from MVC2.
1) I loved that episode of the Simpsons. 2) The line that made this article for me "How do you make a crappy car? By building it out of STUPID" That just made me laugh very much. Also, I think that every board in Sonic Rider's Is stupid, only because WHY THE HELL WOULD SONIC NEED A F***ING HOVERBOARD TO GO FAST?!?!?! And to that extent, Shadow's Shoes in that game. EVERYONE ELSE IS ON A BOARD. WHY NOT YOU, SHADOW?!? And since i believe there's a Sonic game where he's driving a kart, WHY ARE YOU DRIVING A KART IF YOU CAN RUN FAST??? WTF MAN!!
Honestly, I will get this game no doubt. (my wii library is a little lacking compared to my 360 one) However, I feel that, as good or bad the game may be, this is just a little teaser to keep us satiated (albeit slightly) with our Mario needs until Nintendo unveils the big guns, those being SMG2. Kind of like ODST is to Halo: Reach- a taast of action before the next major release. They say bringing back Yoshi for this is all "blast to the past" and whatnot, but guess who's in SMG2?
I was expecting a Cloud here. Tell me he's not one of the most user created characters ever. Oh, and Pikachu scares me more than Saw's Billy the Puppet. He should be a character.
Honestly, even though the ODST one was barely representational of any form of Halo gameplay ever, and was very far up its own ass, it was a sick ad. I loved the way the Banshees and Brutes looked. That was how a Halo Movie should be made.
Sad Face: Being young, I grew up watching TV First. And what was on TV in the 90's: Pokemon. So what was the game I got first: Pokemon. So what system did I get? N64. So what did I completely miss out on? Dreamcast, and all of its glory. In all seriousness (maybe it's because I was 6 in 1999), I only played Pokemon for the longest time. So I never knew about the greatness of Mario and Sonic until i got a Gamecube. Now I need to get a DC (or at least an Emulator, but that might be confusing) to play these great games, like NiGHTS, Jet Grind Radio, and SA2. oh well.
What I'd like to see is something more along the lines of New Super Mario Bros. Essentially the same thing as Sonic the Hedgehog's old style, but with some small new thing that doesn't really affect gameplay. Like how NSMB was basically a typical Mario Sidescroller that was similar to his original game (read: no Yoshi), but had some small thing that helped, but wasn't necessary (Mega/Mini Mushrooms). Granted I don't know what that would be for Sonic, but Sega'll think of something. And I'd rather not see it on Wii, because then there would have to be some gimmicky motion controlled thing. And Super Sonic should be like the original game, where you have to get rings in bonus stages and then get rings to transform. And I wouldn't mind seeing Tails, Knuckles or even (gasp) Shadow in it. But that's just my opinion.
This actually got me thinking about what games will be like in another 10-15 Years. And, more importantly, what this article would be like in 10-15 years. Like, will games get to the point where Pokemon actually shows blood and burnt flesh? (Charizard used Flamethrower! It Caused 3rd degree Burns!! Super Effective!.) Will Kirby Legitimately eat people? (Copy Ability: Digestion.) Will Games like Kingdom Hearts have Disney characters foregoing their Blunt weaponry for actual swords and dismemberment? (Literally Heartless) WHAT WILL HAPPEN!
Well, here come all the XBox 360 people coming to defend their flagship title, but here we go anyway: I Hate Halo 3. I loved Halo 1. I loved Halo 2. But something about Halo 3 just Pisses me off. Maybe I just suck at it (though I hope to god not.) Maybe it's because of the people who think they're hot sh*t and start teabagging and such. Maybe because i feel that it's a repackaged halo 2 with better graphics, different maps, and some new weapons. I just can't stand the game. However, I do still play it because It's the only game that satisfies my shooter fix. I just feel that it's lost most of its charm since two years ago. If I could find my CoD 4 disc, I would stop playing Halo. Hoping ODST is better.
yeah, I hate the one kid who thinks he's hot sh*t in the lobby, but when the game's done and he's been thoroughly destroyed, he starts making up reasons for loss. That, and when losers quit. especially when they're on MY team!
Top 5 games I played the most? Well, That's a bit hard... In order least to first, I would have to say... 5: World of Warcraft, for good(?) reason... Until I got bored of paying money to play online. 4: Kingdom Hearts 2, Which i still played after I beat the story because It was just too damn addicting. 100% on Proud Mode. Sephiroth was a bitch. 3: The entire Pokemon Series. I can't narrow it down to one game, because anyone who's played those games knows the feeling of wanting to "Catch 'em all." of course, I've only accomplished this on the Original Game Boy games, but still... 2: Pac-Man. I don't care if it's an arcade game, It still eats my time up almost as much as my #1 game, which most Xbox 360 players share, Halo 3. I love that game. I don't care what anyone says. Infection is awesome. CTF is my favorite non-slayer gametype. It's just a thrillingly epic game! Other games may have more weapons, or cooler ones, but Halo 3? Two Words: Energy Sword. Vehicles? Banshee, Scorpion, Chopper, the list goes on. All the haters and complainers out there, there's obviously a good reason for all the hype. Oh, and Forge? What other console game offers that? There's a reason that these are the same arguments over and over: They work. The sheer amount of customization in these games is overwhelming. I only have one complaint: Stop Teabagging.
I'm glad my mom understands about video games. The only one of these that she's said is the socializing one, and after I referenced something I did in real life, she understood. My dad has played all the MGS games, except for the PSP/PS3 ones. So he's cool.
I got the Superman Returns Demo for Xbox 360. My Xbox promptly got Red Ring Of Death. Coincidence? But I really did think the game was horrible. Almost about as crappy as the movie.
And @everyone who disses Marvel: Ultimate Alliance: I got it for 360, and Liked it a lot. I won't say there weren't some problems with it, but altogether, I found it to be a very satisfying game. Especially with four players. The only problems were that I had no Idea how to get some characters (Silver Surfer + Daredevil), so I cheated. but that's besides the point.
