Here's the deal... The PS1 and PS2, PS3, PSP buttons originated from "stop" (square button), "play" (triangle button), "record" (circle button, and "eject" (x button). Just look at any old Sony Walkman or cassette player and you will see the familiar icons in their full glory!
I love this game on the Wii... Still wish they would put "Fire!: on this collection as that game, "Taxi", "Pinbot", and good old "Eight Ball Deluxe (by Bally) have my fondest memories.
I can say without a doubt that Pac-man is the reason I am still a gamer at 38 years old. I remember Asteroids and Pinball and all that but the first time I saw a Pac-man machine at the local pizza joint, it was a whole new deal for me.... studying maze patterns, listening to Pac-man Fever, judging every new arcade game (Tempest, Donkey Kong, Turbo, etc.) by the "is it as good as Pac-man?" standard, and witnessing the video game industry explode from the 1980's onward.
Without a doubt it has to be the e-reader for the Game Boy Advance. I actually ran out to buy it on day one with the hopes of having my own version of Donkey Kong Jr. Needless, to say I did not anticipate having to swipe card after card and subject myself to yet another possible way to acquire carpal tunnel or some other game related injury... along with the frustration factor!
This is going to sound pitiful but the only series that I can say for sure is Resistance on PS3.... whoops there is a PSP game for that isn't there? And I almost said God of War until I remembered the PSP for that too. I am working on the Metroid series now.
Star Fox 64! It was the culmination of everything that was started (graphics, level design, sound) on the SNES original. In other words, Star Fox 64 looked like what we imagined when we played the SNES original... that my friends, is what a game sequel ought to do! Plus it introduced rumble 'fer cryin' out loud (and where would we be without rumble?)
I wonder if Capcom would ever consider pulling a Nintendo and release a game like this on a disc (a la New Play Pikmin etc....) Heck, I would even pay an extra $20 to get this on a PS3 Blu Ray
reCAPTCHA- Spears Arpeggio; sounds like a sweet name for a glam-metal guitar player
OK... we will see if this finally demands more than a few weeks worth of gameplay out of me... oh, who am I kidding- I buy Madden every year on launch day regardless.... I need help!
Pretty cool... I do like the Gameworks (I hear the Seattle location is great too) on Vegas Blvd. and there is a cool place here in Minneapolis called the Chatterbox for those here in the USA.
Although it isn't an "internal" cheat, how about using a pocket comb (which everyone had in the 1980's) between your fingers for increased speed in "Track and Field" in the arcade... then for the nes version I would use a metal spoon and rub it back and forth as fast as possible over the a and b buttons.
There is an idea for your next article GR! all the external cheat methods used by gamers!
I will believe Brutal Legend gets released in 2009 (or ever gets released for that matter) when I actually see the load screen on my PS3...
On the Red steel 2/ Ninja Turtles deal; If Ubisoft's approach is to stagger release dates for their high profile titles, one must wonder what will happen to No More Heroes 2.
yup I downloaded that on day one and talked my brother into getting it too.
