I love console gaming. I have always loved it. Since my NES, I can't put the controllers down. That being said, I am not excited for the next generation. Microsoft is going to fuck us over, and that's become very apparent from how they've already started. Nintendo has moved into the casual market and doesn't look like it's going to move from there any time soon. I don't care for Sony and I don't know what they have planned. I also don't really like PC gaming. The PC gaming community is full of snobs that have their heads up their asses. Elitist jerks that I don't want to play with. Plus I'm shit with a mouse.
It seems that for people like me, there is only going back to old video games because the future of gaming looks so bleak.
Implying you'd be playing this mode without a group of friends that you trust. I can't see myself playing this with strangers. It just looks like a really personal type of multiplayer. Think of dead space 2 multiplayer, but people actually play it and it's actually fun.
I wouldn't mind a megaman 9 treatment to a new mario game. I would love to see some pixel sprites instead of the (admittedly ugly) 3D sprites from NSMW. That game kinda sucked.
WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE POKEMON. I've seen this franchise's birth, and now that it's a shitty adult, I feel it is a good time to kill it. It used to be cute, and now it's stupid.
I was going for the insane difficulty achievement in Mass Effect 2, and the game was pretty easy. I was a soldier with a bunch of great abilities (geth shield boost), and I was plowing through the game without a second thought. Then I got to the derelict reaper.
I have never rage quit a single section of a game as many times. One of the only tough as nails parts in the entire game.
First couple minutes: "Oh okay, so this must take place after the passing then." A little later: "That is clearly a witch, you guys know this." When louis gets tackled by the witch: "Well fuck him then. I guess they won't be saving louis." Witch get's shot: "Where did that come from and why did it explode?" Chief walks in: "wait... What?" Rest of video: "what the fuck am I watching?"
I wouldn't mind a serious 2D, non cell shaded, handheld game without touch controls and only button controls soon. I can only play Oracle of Seasons so much before I want a new adventure.
