I was never really impressed with DS in the first place to play through something similar on the Wii. But seeing as it will probably be cheaper in a few months (hopefully not bargain-bin cheaper) than it might be worth a pick-up.

I miss some of the gratuitous violence in video games. That, and having my parents tell me it would warp my mind, and actually believe it.

@ FriendlyFire--not 'that' open and progressive.

Games are censored because kids today have shitty parents. They think "games are for kids, so they can't be bad," and pick up (insert random T or M rated game here) for their kid, failing to actually 'see' what the kid is playing. And then if by chance their little precious 'does' see some act of pixilated violence or gore, they fail to teach their children that this is a game, and that the actions seen in said game should not be imitated. Unless it's like--curing cancer, or something.

@doomdoomdoom, they already made a Mario movie, and Mario's still around today. And if you hate Mario so much, why comment on a threat that praises Mario RPGs? That seems...rather spiteful.

The original Mario RPG drained my bank account from renting it so much. I never actually bought it until it came out on the Wii Virtual console :)

I went into a Value Village (second-hand shop in Canada) and went to the front counter, just looking around. And there, I saw something that made me want to dish out the $15.00 for something I'd never use. It was a copy of Resident Evil on the Sega Saturn. That face...looking back at me, it just blew my mind. Why would anyone donate that to Value Village? I may never know, but when I returned, it was gone, and all now I have is the thought of was what might have been...

It was a Nyko light gun peripheral for the Wii. Not that I should have really bought it in the first place, but I was so psyched that I could actually shoot it like a gun, and it LOOKED like a gun. But it was too top-heavy and the controls were just...just awful.

The Sony Bravia integration existed with the previous PS3s as well, this isn't new, it was one of the first things that we tried out at Radio Shack when we got it in, and it worked seamlessly. When you turn on the PS3, it turns the television on automatically, and switches to HDMI input if it's not already on it. When you turn the PS3 off, it turns the tv off as well.

Okay, adadadad seriously needs to shut the fuck up, or at least formulate his thoughts into coherent sentences...fuck, even words. But I'm thinking everyone here would prefer the former.

So a new software update for ps2 compatibility? What are the odds it's going to cost us? Isn't that why they took backwards compatibility out of the ps3? To sell more PS2s? Smart business move I guess, but kinda cheap on their part.

Oh baby! The Legend of Zelda: OoT. In my book, there's not many games out of all the systems that can top that one, let alone on the N64. I just recently purchased the Master Quest for the GCN and am impatiently awaiting its arrival. I seriously can't wait to play through it and get just as angry at the Water Temple as I did before.

Super Ghouls and Ghosts. I loved this game when I was a kid. I was so good at it. When it became available on the Wii Shop Channel I decided that I'd play it again to show my boyfriend how awesome I was at it. It's now gotten to the point where when I hear the little tune played right after you die and the map shows you wehre you are, it pisses me off. I can at least rest assured that he's not much better, and we both hate it.

It's not so much other people who make online play so bad...it's douches. Douches ruin EVERYTHING! They breathe too heavily into their mic, or shove their face hole with chips, have a perpetually runny nose AND speak in a foreign language or are just...just inaudible, grief you when you're winning, bitch at you if you do something they think is wrong, sing on the mic, end the match abruptly because they're losing, send you their post-match brag or rag...

Oh...Jill, I see--I shoot you ONCE with a magnum in offline play and you die, but I shoot you six freaking times in Versus mode on RE5 and somehow you're still alive...knifing me to death.

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time -- the reason I bought an N64 and almost failed the 8th grade. That and algebra.
2. Resident Evil 2

5. Super Mario RPG--instead of just finally buying the game, I'd rent it weekend after weekend.

I think my Mom calls everything "GAME" really loudly whenever I spend/play too much. If she eventually gets it, she says it really slow. My dad thought Saints Row 2 was hilarious--especially flinging people into outer space with the motorcycle. He said "that's not very nice..." and then laughed.

I have used to have a nice little playlist going on my computer that's called "Songs I First Heard in Video Games." There's a lot of them--some of them from GTA and Saints Row, others from GH (never played RB). If there's a medium that gets people to listen and open their ears to something they've never heard before, then all power to it...However....

Most people like it now because it's easy, you pick it up and play it, it doesn't require a buttload of previous practice or hundreds of dollars to be on the same level as the rest of your 'band mates.'

When there comes a day where we have less 'real guitar heroes and less 'real' rock bands, then I'll see cause for concern. If there comes a day that we're limited to what we can do on the guitar by the pressing of little plastic buttons and retarded whammy bars, then I'll see cause for concern. Otherwise, I see it as a re-imagined Zapper, or Superscope. Fun to play, but they never hurt anybody.

I try my best to stay away from movie-games. And I did considerably well for a long time. Until my friend gave me a PC game--CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and it's sequel, Dark Motives. Yeah, they're not movie-based, but they're crap just the same. Glitchy, terrible voice-acting and fugly visuals--you required a patch to even run the game, and even then it crashed. And then if you didn't click on this tiny, three pixel by three-pixel space, your icon wouldn't change to a magnifying glass, and you couldn't proceed. You'd go back to the police station and the suspect would just look back at you with their tilted head, like "Durrr?" I remember telling saying, "CSI? That sounds awesome!" And then I remember playing the game, and saying, "CSI...This fucking sucks."

I never understood polygon 'babes.' My friends had this whole fangirl thing going with Squall and Zell from FF8. To be fair--I think that Aya Brea looked ehh better? (in cut-scenes AND in-game) in PE II (still fugly) than in PE.

SUPER NEEENTENDOOOO! I get really excited over just about any console that I own (including the Wii) but the SNES was the console that I owned for the longest time. Everybody else was basking in the glow of the N64, I still had my old SNES--tried and true. When I first got it, it came with Super Mario World, and there was an offer for Super Mario All-Stars. Those two games ate up so much of my childhood years I'm surprised my television died of a bad picture tube rather than obesity.
