Fair enough, but the latter was hardly stellar material to begin with, so I shudder to think of the quality of the former.

Good article but I think you were somewhat unfair with Syphon filter. About from it being an excellent game that still stands up today, the very fact that Metal Gear Solid is a primarily stealth based game, and Syphon Filter is a third person shooter with maybe one or two stealth levels kind of renders your comparison obsolete.

Call me a sceptic but I suspect sony isn't taking the same tactical approach to consumerism.
That is, throwing ridiculous amounts of money at any company in sight to secure exclusivity. I'm afraid I don't buy Valve's excuses on this one.

Also, regards to which game is better, I think that's entirely dependandant on preferences in weaponry and such. Though I prefer the bolt action weapons of WAW, I prefer the maps and weapon camo system of 4, and found it to be less glitchy.
There is no definitive answer as to which is better.
