LucasArts versus Sierra: Part One
has anyone who's played Gabriel Knight: beast within (2nd one) notice that the guy who played Gabriel (Dean Erickson I think) worked at cafe Nervosa on Frasier? it was one of the first season episodes. nearly shit when I saw him there. "thats me, gabriel knight."

Five rules for introducing your girlfriend to gaming
um, my girlfriend loves gta4. besides, pretty sure the splicers in bioshock and the grunts in FEAR can still be considered men in camo.

um actually the game is pretty good. I don't think the reviewer game it the time of day. for one; the cut scenes are 'skippable' with a quick pause, there's an option to skip. two; the game does 'autosave' its just turned off by default in the game options menu. three; actions in battle are determined by action points allocated to the enemies you are targeting. if a member has a powerful mystic attack such as 'caustic burn' and you attack with a AP lower then necessary you'll execute a lower end spell. four; I had no problem having the game recognize my wireless xbox cntrllr for the pc off the get go. five; the locations arn't all dreary. there are catacombs and cave just like any rpg, but there are also sprawling vista like dillmore and the great sand sea. most of the cities are amazing and truly show off the unreal engine, like eylusions towering academy and belurrus' prosperous desert trading hub . The game has a bit of a learning curve, but once understood you'll appreciate its epic experience and rewarding combat. I'm convinced the reviewer didn't give the game the time of day and feel rather frustrated that they made such a poor attempt at getting familiar with what some people will appreciate as a great rpg. if only a filler until the new final fantasy is released. I mean common "unskippable" cut scences? really? read the manual.
