Dang. I was really hoping for at least an 8, if not 9, and had juuuuuuust a part of me that was holding out for a 10. Don't get me wrong - a 7 is a very "good" score, and very respectable. I just was hoping for something more, and less "uninspired". My favorite is still Super Mario World, but I'm fairly certain I'll still check this game out. Siiiiigh. At least there's still Boy and His Blob and No More Heroes 2.

Good Lord, I cannot wait for this game. I was super bummed when Aliens: Colonial Marines was delayed (possibly scratched), but whoah, this games looks gloriously. As Vasquez once said, "Let's roooooooooooooooooocckkk!"

Dear Belston: Thank you SO MUCH for posting this fantastic article (as yours always are). As Aughra (SP?) would say, there is a Great Conjuction in the air - and let me explain that. I work at a temp. job that allows me to wear headphones; for the past three glorious weeks, I have been listening to the entire back catalog of TalkRadar podcasts (and they've literally made my day). Anyway, due to cosmic alliance, today was the day that I listed to podcast #10, where you and the gang just returned from the E3 two years ago. To say you were absolutely saddened and distraught would be an understatement - you were absolutely devastated, and I could clearly hear that the life had been beaten out of you by the big N that year (Wii Music debacle, etc.) Anyway, I think it's wonderful that, two years later, today, this goes up, the day that I listened to that podcast. I too am a life-ling Nintendo fan, as I was 11 years old in '84, and grew up w/the systems. And so, I own a Wii, and like many others, have been crying out for games like these. THANK YOU for letting everyone know that the Wii is still a gaming console for those who take the time to seek out the gems (including Lost Winds and World of Goo from the online store). Awesome article, keep them up!

"Brutal Legend is a love song to heavy metal, but also to gamers" - siiiiigh - but not PC gamers! Damn, damn, DAMN, I want this game! I truly hope it comes out on the PC as well. I loved Psychonauts to death, what a fantastic game. And BL looks to be just as freakin' awesome. DAMN IT!! C'mon, Doublefine, throw us a bone here! Also, agreed: this world can never have enough Megadeth. Thanks, GR - great review!

I seriously cannot wait to play this game. Damn, this looks awesome! I agree, I think the art style is fantastic, and much improved from the "Generi-brown" colored "just another shooter with guns" approach before. Although, am I the only one, or did the death sounds in these videos sound extremely annoying, and bordering on the "I'm turning into the Lizard now!" MMMRRRAARRRGGHH! yell from the podcasts?

Great article, Tyler! And THANK YOU for getting in some PvZ (a.k.a. Plants vs. Zombies). I love, love, love that game. Also, because I have two meat paws for hands and function much better on a pc, I only own a Wii for a console - thank you for again bringing up one of the few, fine examples of a great game on the system. Again, well researched, and funny!
