Alan Wake (Xbox 360): Alan Wake super review
The game is a metaphor for a writer's manic mind morphing his fictional mind into the real world and losing the ability to distinguish reality from truth. If Stephen King, like Clive Barker, could work on a game that allows one to play survival horror while immerging in rich storylines all whilst experiencing trhe diversity of his creatures and enemies; that would be something to see

Fallout: New Vegas (Xbox 360): First look at Fallout: New Vegas
Hardcore mode is the only way to play this game. I would love to take a trip to area 51 in this game, it would be a loss to the aesthetic of the game if they left it out.

RAGE (Xbox 360): Yet another Rage preview, more minds blown
The post apocalyptic setting can never get stale. All it takes is a little imagination and objective reasoning to predict futuristic occurences. The most exciting aspect of this setting is to see the butterfly effect unravel in another dreamers imagination. This way of thinking is not only helpful to storytelling but to realizing the effect that we humans create within the world.

BioShock 3: Where next for the story?
If you listen to most of Andrew Ryan's audio diaries, he is always making reference to the outside world. IN the Journey to the Surface at Ryan Amusments, you get to see what Ryan thought of the land dwellers and why he decided to create rapture. When I played through journey to the surface, I knew where the series was aiming to go. The title bioshock is not reserved for only an underwater utopia. The underwater city is simply the breeding ground for the spliced-up neo human. What would the story be without getting to release the altered beast upon the world in a Godzilla-like fashion? Ryan's radical idea of the outside world will surely be demonstrated in the third installment; just think back to the displays you saw in Journey to the Surface. The people and ideas that he mentioned in his museum are sure to make an appearance. Its almost as if splicing will bring out the metaphorical views of governement corruption and conspiracy and throw them into the physical. We WILL see the mainland through Ryan's eyes, and I agree that there could be no better time period than the late 60's to do so.

im thinking that the girl could possibly be the daughter of Andrew Ryan, looking out into the place that made home to her fathers dream. The big daddy doll replaces the teddy bear that a typical girl would have. The doll is something the girl is attatched to, therefore showing her attatchment to rapture. Building a sandcastle is a creation of the imagination, and since it is clear she is doing it with her mind, we know that it is a product of her flowing imagination as she stares out into sea. This is her dream, to revive her fathers dream and try to create the perfect utopian way of life. The butterfly emerging from a barnacle,(a barnacle being a product of something stagnant and unlively underwater) shows that Rapture will be rebuilt and the "dream" brought to life. catepillars usually emerge from a cacoon after a period of hybernation and change into lively, colorful, butterflies. This is exactly what rapture is going to do after its hybernation, turn into a colorful and lively utopia. The fact that the sandcastles were built out of dry land signifies that rapture will be reconstructed on land. who knows what will happen with the new leader and her "sea of dreams".
