They didn't, though. All of the code was done by Nintendo, but Retro Studios (which is now a part of Nintendo) helped with the classic track design. It isn't as though they handed them the game in alpha and said: "Here, finish this, and make it good."
Whenever I think of Gaming Skeletons, I think of the original two Prince of Persia games, and their skeleton duels! Also the undead pirates in the Monkey Island games.
My thought exactly! It's not as though there wouldn't be enough space to fit another rechargable in there, anyway. Here's hoping that someone at Nintendo is as smart as us, eh?
If the game has a good sense of humour, I think it could be worthwhile. Otherwise, I think the silly mini-games may detract from what might well be a great story.
I was actually hoping that they'd just cram another battery into the addition. It's certainly big enough, and it'd make the thing halfway worth-while to purchase.
Though I do like Ganon as a villain, if Skyward Sword is a prequel to Ocarina of Time it doesn't make sense to have him in the game, since he was introduced as Ganondorf in Ocarina before gaining the power of the Triforce and becoming immortal.
I'm glad to year that this is working out well. I quite like the Mario Kart series, but I must say that I was a bit freaked out when I saw the gliders and underwater sections in the E3 trailer. Will there be gyroscope controls? I was playing OoT in a car and every turn made my bow's aim swerve drastically. It wasn't really a problem there, but it'd definitely mess up my runs in a game like MK.
Ah, I really loved the PS1 era Spider-Man games... Just the sheer number of costumes and collectibles was enough to keep me playing for far too long. I even still remember the master codes for both of them: EEL NATS and AUNT MAY.
Eh, I've still got my Gamecube from before the Wii came out, so I can just use that. I'd really like some sort of transfer system, where the Wii U reads which GC discs you have and automatically downloads them, but I have a feeling that Nintendo is too tight-fisted to do anything of the sort.
@jackthemenace: I thought the exact same thing about the co-op. I loved the first Halo, but a big part of the experience for me is playing through the campaign with my best friend, and I'm going to be seriously pissed off if we can't do that any more. I hate games that tout their multiplayer but fail to let us play the game with our friends in the same room. It's why I didn't buy Pure, it's why I didn't buy the latest NFS, and I really hope that it won't hamper my enjoyment of this game.
