CAN'T WAIT.
I was nervous, at first, that Ubisoft would take out some of the things that made the first game great, but I think it'll all be okay, now :)
Sadly I won't be able to play it right away when it comes out. Ironically, though, I'll be on vacation in Italy. Chao!
If I had read this article 24 hours ago, I wouldn't be stuck with a broke-ass Coraline DVD that makes me queesy to watch in 3D
Honestly, I watched it with my mom yesterday and about four scenes in I stood up and changed the disc to 2D. It was UGLY.
Oh, and the 2D side of the disc was scratched when I bought it. And I bought it on vacation to a America (Canada doesn't have Hot Topic... dont' judge me)
So FML, I guess.
As much as I loved Disney Adventures as a kid, and when I got a bit older they had some great Pirates of the Caribean comics sometimes, I'm glad their dead.
I have a framed page from an early 2006 issue stating that Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) would be the best game of the year. I laugh whenever I see it. Then I cry because I realize the little blue blur is dead inside.
Either way, con for the world: The Jonas Brothers are getting a comic. Don't deny it, they will.
I think Mirror's Edge needs both a prequel and a sequel. I hear a small team is working on Mirror's Edge 2... but I don't know anything more.
It needs a prequel for all the reasons listed in the article, but, if those looking to avoid spoilers would stop reading this comment right now, everyone Faith knew was either killed or betrayed her, as far as we know, except Kate. Sure, it's all because of Icarus, but if Faith had just let Kate go... would things be so bad? There's a lot of potential for a sequel story wise... minus the fact that we have a grand total of two characters left over: Faith and Kate. I wouldn't mind seeing Celeste brought back as a villian, though!
SATIIIIN!!!!
Seriously, why do the mediocre cosplayers ALWAYS USE SATIN? Unless the character wears satin, don't wear satin! When in doubt, use cotton!
Remember kids: Satin is one letter away from Satan. It also is too shiny and looks bad in photographs.
R.I.P. Gunpei Yokoi ;_;
He would have been so proud of Metroid these days... He never lived to see it go 3D.
(I actually like the Virtual Boy, by the way)
The ocarina app is cool, but it's worth noting that people who actually play the ocarina are going to be frustrated. Mostly because of the lack of thumb holes. I wish that was a problem that could be fixed, but it isn't. Most songs on a four hole ocarina need thumbholes. I'm just saying. for cosplay and such and never get played.
Tap Tap is a must, even if I have to admit I almost never play it, but I suppose pretty much everybody has that already, right?
I'd like to throw in my two cents for Cosmico.
It confuses the hell out of me, but it's really just mindless fun to great classical music. Oh, and it's about a robot who's going to die. That's sad :(
I have to throw in my two cents on Assassin's Creed: I'm a lover of the game, but I see the arguments of the haters. It depends on the patience level of the individual player. I said this on deviantart the other day, but people looking for a slower moving, more story driven experience to savor are going to like it, while people looking for a lot of challenge and fast paced action won't. I love it, I have a friend who'll start killing civiians is I don't sit beside him the whole time he plays.
Portal is on the little honorable mentions... thing... but I suppose the choice you get there (at least unless there's another choice I'm not aware of) is wheather to kill the Companion Cube or use cheats. I used cheats. I couldn't kill my baby :(
Problem: Bruckheimer seems to think of video games as longer, interactive movies. That's bad.
Another bad thing: When did the Sims become story driven? When I get around to fiddling with the Sims the fun all comes from making the house.
Last, but not least, why is that companies, these days, are begging for the attention of women? Half of the time they already have a female crowd, and don't even know it. The more they try to appeal to us, the more they sometimes end up insulting us. Nintendo is a prime example. They keep shoving this fashion, pink shit down our throats, saying 'Look, come play our games, we have stuff you'll like!' when most of us became Nintendo fans from Samus, or Link. Heck, this month's Nintendo Power has a Kingdom Hearts cover, a series that, as far as I know, has a huge following of female fans...
Awhile back a video game commentary channel I watch on youtube got a video from a girl saying how much she loved watching the videos, and what one of them replied is 'We have female fans?' This suprised me. There are a lot of us, but nobody seems to notice... Makes me wonder why :/
(Sorry for the uber long comment D:)
I actually just did Acre Cathedral yesterday. It's so... It just really does deserve being on this list. I got assassin's creed about a month ago, and now that school's out I've been playing it A LOT. I plan to beat it tomorrow, actually :) Can't wait for Assassin's Creed II!
Anyway, I REALLY want to play The Path, now.
And read more Poe, but that's beside the point.
