Call of Duty: Black Ops - details overload
Now that I finally found a copy of MW2 for the PC for a decent price ($24.99 on an end of the isle bargain rack at Target, nothing gets me more than paying full price, or in this case, $10 more than full price for an expansion pack) I will be ready to go. Of course, after being burned by the most recent installments of CoD, I will probably wait a bit rather than pay full price for half a game.

10 crappy jobs that make for awesome games
As a "scientist" I can say we spend most our day doing two things, reading and writing. The hard sciences spend very little time in the lab just as I spend very little time in field collecting samples. Yeah, it is boring, but for all the many hours toiling away behind my computer (we tend to work a lot of them by the way) the few chances we get to work in the lab, field or attend a conference are well worth it.

Gaming's biggest price drops
Poor Hell's Highway. I just finished playing it and loved it. Now that I have caught myself up by finishing Far Cry 2, Fallout 3 and (it'll come to me) I can honestly say that Hell's Highway is my personal choice for 2008 game of the year. It was just completely awesome. It took everything that was great about the first two, improved it, threw in a real story and beautifully integrated the cover mechanic from Rainbow Six Vegas while making a host of other improvements. Not sure how it would play on a console but for this one is well worth the full MSRP.
