A lot of people consider Mega Man 2 the best game in the entire series, but like Mr. Sterling says in the article, these are the people that really haven't played the rest of the games; they're going by whatever everyone else says. Getting mad that someone canceled a game when you weren't even going to buy it helps no one. I really wish we'd get more 2d sidescrollers akin to the Castlevania games, Shadow Complex, and even Mega Man. MM9 and 10 were great games and the music was even better - I just don't want to see this style of gaming vanish for eternity. |

I guess getting something rather than nothing is alright, but I for one am skipping this game until maybe 10 years from now when it drops to like $10. Why are people excited for this game? Nostalgia mostly but there's some good points in this article. http://www.gamersguidetolife.com/2011/07/ugly-truth-about-halo-combat-evolved.html I think GamesRadar should weigh into the whole "remaking of older games" opinion as well. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus would be worth it since it's two games with a better framerate. |

Oh and I do agree, Mortal Kombat should be on this list for sure. Ocarina of Time is timeless, of course, but no one can change the fact that it's just a re-release. MK should take its place. I agree with the rest of the list. |

One of the most underrated games this year is undoubtedly Dynasty Warriors 7. Seriously, I'm not even joking. What a step in the right direction Koei made. The hacking and slashing are standardized, but damn is it a good time! |

I can tell you that this generation I'm primarily an Xbox user. While I do have a PS3, I enjoy the controller, their exclusives, and the network of Xbox Live much, much better than Sony's. Saying that, Microsoft destroyed the ball yesterday. E3 conferences are about showing off YOUR hardware, YOUR software, and YOUR exclusive content. Showing cross-platform games can be spiffy but it really isn't important to your cause. Even if we knew about most of it, Sony still showed off tons of exclusive content for their fans. That was important. Microsoft also showed exclusive content, but it was centralized around the Kinect and hardly anything else. I will say that the VITA (what an unfortunate name) looks great. It's probably what the PSP should have been. As long as the games are great, and I don't see why they wouldn't be since Sony gets great third party support, it'll be a justifiable purchase. Especially at a $250 price point. |

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I JUST SAW, IT'S DEFINITELY NOT PREY BUT IT'S BADASS. I'M TALKING IN CAPS! Seriously though, that trailer was incredible. It may have shown zero gameplay, but it was impressive beyond reckoning. I can't wait to see more of this game. |

I have no idea how anyone can consider FFXII as their "favorite" in the entire series. The plot was atrocious and you didn't care about any of the characters at all. FFIV had more character development than this game and the battle system was astral vomit. "Let's constantly walk around in circles during combat so I can regenerate mana, har har har." Stupid. Final Fantasy VI is definitely my number one. |

What a great list. A commendation to everyone at GamesRadar for keeping it original! Now, I have a few questions... For one, Donkey Kong Country. It's a game series I'll love forever and I question why you put the first one as the best. Unquestionably it was a flawless game, but Diddy's Kong Quest was far, far superior. Think about it, the game expanded to give you reason to net those bonus coins and DK coins. That 100% meant so much more than just bragging rights and the bosses, monsters, music (OH GOD THE MUSIC), were creative beyond measure. Oblivion. I'm not sure how this got on the list over something like Morrowind. Maybe I'm in the minority but Oblivion was NOT great. It had the potential to be giant, an insurmountable success in every aspect of gaming. I think the reason it was so widely loved is because of its timing. When it came out there was nothing that matched the scope of the world or the visual effects. Whatever the case, its design and exploration system absolutely killed it for me. Exploring caves and remote systems didn't pay off nearly as much as they did in Morrowind. Actually, it was pretty pathetic when you think about it since everything scales to your level. Ambushed by wolves? Get ready to shoot them each 100 times with arrows and fireballs. I could go on for pages here, but you know what I'm talking about. |

Good lord the League of Legends shot on the last page is horrible. LMAO! Look at the guy who is trying to be Vlad! Also, who the hell would dress up to look like anything from Final Fantasy XII? Maybe they are "sexy rabbit chicks" but I couldn't give that game any credit ever. Without question it's the worst Final Fantasy I've played and I haven't played XIII. |

Brett's 7 makes the most sense I think. It's not entirely high but at the same time it's well above average. Unfortunately, for an Okami game I would have liked it to be so much more. The original Okami is one of the best games I've ever played - even better than Zelda: A Link to the Past (and that's saying something!). If you haven't had a chance to get the game, grab it on the PS2. Completely worth it. |

MARK! Quickly, before the football monsters and Packer fans get here - it's Favre! I know it's messed up. As a fellow writer it scrambles my brain as well. In relation to the article, I'm a bit confused. Granted, it's been a while since I've played a Madden title hardcore, but aren't the only players in the game on the current rosters? I know you can update them by going online, but it doesn't make sense to me how someone supposedly "scrolling through the menus" would find players from over 20 years ago. Why would there be a randomly generated guy with a random name on this team? That doesn't make sense. There's no way over 6,000 players could be hiding amongst the current rosters of the NFL. I just don't see how. Could someone clear this up? |

Dave isn't asking for the return of Arcades, he wants games that would ostensibly belong in an arcade but contemporary and on our consoles. He gets there's no turn-around for that industry, but like him, I'd love to see more pick-up and play games like Geometry Wars 2. Titles that are easy to pick up and play are definitely available on XBLA like Castle Crashers, Aces of the Galaxy, Geometry Wars 2, and I might go so far as to say N+ and Splosion Man but those are a little tough to be considered in this conversation. Unfortunately, there's not enough of these titles! TMNT was a huge letdown, just like Double Dragon on XBLA. They dumbed them down and incurred my wrath as a result. So yes, while there are titles available not all of them are as accessible as one might like. I'm with you Dave! I'd love to see companies throw more affordable arcade type games at me. Paying $15 per title isn't exactly what I call cheap. I'm loving the arcade for stuff like Shadow Complex, Mega Man 9 and 10, and the impending Castlevania game, but we need to see newer, fresher ideas in the mix. Also, the X-Men Arcade game would be awesome too... |

I loved the Firefly reference Tyler. Nice work! I've only got an old Dell Precision M90 laptop and while I can run it at the barest of the bare settings, I just can't do it. I can't play the sequel to one of my favorite RTS games without them looking better than the worst. *sigh* |

I really couldn't stand Oblivion. I mean, I needed to play the game due to my love for Morrowind. However once I delved into the expansive world Oblivion offered I found nothing that really compelled me to press on. The Dark Brotherhood quests were pretty neat but the combat, AI, and the damn scaling ruined everything. When you hit a wolf 15 times with an enchanted bow and arrows, it should probably die. It shouldn't look like a walking pincushion who can still take you down no matter how awesome your armor is. |
