Is this a blatant ripoff of same-generation RPG's? Those first two screens look EXACTLY like specific spots in FF-II (US) while you're going up the mountain to fight Golbez.

I wouldn't say so much it's bad to let some"one" spend all their time farming gold for the game. Hell, that's about all my wife was ever good at in WoW. The problem I see is when some"ones" are forced to do it. It's difficult for a party of 6 from across the world to gather and farm a mob for an item, but it's almost too easy for a party of 6 in the same room camping that mob to ensure they get the drop every time. Therefore, being able to sell it at whatever inflated price they deem necessary. I watched it happen on too many servers in FFXI.

If this is their idea of competition for iPhone and SmartPhone gaming, they fail horribly. Missing the one key competition component; the "phone" part. Sure, I love my PSP, but I love it on road trips and only because it's stuffed like Kirby with NES, SNES Roms and PS1 games. Why would I go buy something else to carry around when it has almost no functionality outside of WiFi? They should have focused on partnering with a major carrier as an option for anyone wanting to take advantage of true convenience.

SHIFT is going to be a great game, by the looks and hands-on. It will be nice to have a realistic racing game since GT5:P dropped the ball hardcore.
