"plot-driven"

I see what you did there.
3 months, 3 weeks ago What’s your scariest gaming memory?
Easily, EASILY the courtyard before the Forest Temple. I almost never played through the rest of it as a kid after those guards came running at me.

The whole "leader of Anonymous" thing doesn't make sense to me. Anonymous is defined by its lack of leaders.

I'm surprisingly pretty excited, after my sort of "eh" to Black Ops. I'll probably pick it up day one.
8 months, 4 weeks ago First Modern Warfare 3 footage debuts tonight
I've never seen any game this hyped. I saw a commercial this morning for the trailer. Reminds me of the whole Halo 3 hype machine. This game better not be another Modern Warfare 2...

Either way, I'm going to watch it, if just to see some Price facial hair action.

...are you sure this isn't the intro to Halo Reach?
8 months, 4 weeks ago Fallout: New Vegas's Honest Hearts DLC incompatible with some save files
My main problem is that Obsidian decided to put a 100 save limit on New Vegas. Why in God's name would they do that, especially considering that the game ended up so buggy? They could have easily let some of their intense fixes right after the game slip if they just released a patch that allowed for unlimited saves (something already useful in general) so that we could have backups. Bad practice, I know, but considering that I had WAY over 100 in Fallout 3, this is a necessity.
10 months ago Fact: Activision is not a 'monolithic empire' (says Activision)
The thing is, Blizzard is almost a backup: they can point at them and say "Look, we haven't changed them at all, they're still the unique company they were twenty years ago, and we won't ruin it." This may be true (thank God for that), but they say this while pushing into the closet all of the developers with unique talent that aren't able to churn out $500 million launch days or seven years of 12 million $15/month subscribers. The industry can't live on the expectation that if a game is good, it needs to sell insanely well insanely quickly. I mean, think about it: if any developer signed with Activision even THOUGHT of doing something like the Humble Indie Bundle, they would be shot down (and probably closed). To put it simply, Call of Duty may very well crash the gaming world.

Peace Walker? Wasn't that like a year ago? Still cool, though.
About Me
I play a lot less than I used to (taking college courses in high school was a great idea), but I still try to get in as much as I can. I personally love all things Halo, Zelda, Fallout, and Warcraft, though I do have a wide range of tastes beyond these. Typically, I'll play a little Halo or some other multiplayer game early on, switch to an RPG, and eventually play WoW late into the night. I HATE casual games; not only are they ruining the industry, but they're just plain dull.
