@ nevermore if you have to ask why it matters that the song is ten years old, you probably weren't around at the time, which really does seem like just yesterday, for this to now make you feel old and realise you haven't accomplished anything in that time.
there is actually a game in development called spec ops: the line which is taking lots of influence from heart of darkness/apocalypse now. it's a modern retelling set in dubai and it looks awesome!
i wonder if kyle gabler when he went to sweden met nifflas (nicklas nygren), who's probably my favourite indie developer, and i am suprised he wasn't given a mention in the article considering he's a very popular indie dev and has a game coming to wiiware, night game, which looks awesome.
if you've never heard of him, go to his website (http://nifflas.ni2.se) and give his games a try, they are completely free and, imo, absolutely amazing. and if you like them, keep an eye out for night game on wiiware.
apologies for the obnoxious plug, but i wouldn't be doing it if i didn't love this guy's games and wish to share them and wish for them to be successful. support the indies!
absolutely hilarious. a bit on the short side but it seems like you got as many laughs out of me in 35 minutes than the US guys get out of me in 2 hours.
god-fucking-damnit. i did laugh at the ps3 gag, but it really does hit home. i had to borrow my brother's xbox for the lost and damned, am i really that pathetic that i now want to borrow my niece's DS?
that space giraffe stuff was really interesting (way more interesting than the predictable #1 spot), i'd never heard of it before so i found all those links really fascinating. to be honest it seems like the review, and the whole incident that proceeded it, probably did a lot more for the game than if it just got a good review to begin with. i know it wanted to make me play it.
lol at pretending a convoluted mess of a storyline is simple to make yourself look smart on the internet. and this is coming from a metal gear fan. seriously, don't be so defensive.
