I think a lot of the market isn't even genuine gamers i.e. people that spend time on gaming sites like gamesradar and are always intrigued at news and trailers, just people who have a xbox or playstation and buy hyped up games like starcraft, halo, cod, splinter cell, etc. I know lots of people like that. I always check out a reviews for a game I am looking forward to play. I own okami and grim fandango, and I've played psychonauts (I'm always looking to buy it used in stores). They're some of the best games I've ever played. Typically these games get great scores. And no doubt do the hardcore titles, probably because they cost millions to make, it has to be good. I think games like alan wake should do more commercials on tv or internet ads to get the name out. |

I am sad to see this, since many games fall down into the depths of fail mechanics and controls. And this game deserved a lot of time devoted to it to make it perfect and work out all the kinks. |
