It's kind of interesting, and easy trophies, but not as versatile as the description on PSN makes it sound. Once you've pressed the buttons a twiddled the sticks a bit you've seen it all, and the choice of music doesn't really change anything.
When you first start you can pickpocket people pretty much with impunity, the guards don't pay any attention to you yet, so it's a good time to get the pickpocketing trophy, and you can also pick up a fair amount of money. Even basic armor is costly, so it's good to get as good a start on money as you can.
Animus glitches sort of make sense for the Italian, but in stuff like Ratatouille, when everyone is really supposed to be speaking French and you get a few people who speak English with a French accent, and the rest have no accent (or an English accent,) it really throws me off.
Presumably, everyone in this game is actually speaking Italian, but since we're an English speaking audience they just make it in English. So why is there any Italian in this game, and especially, why are there any English-speakers with Italian accents? That doesn't make any sense, some people have accents and some don't but both are actually speaking Italian. I hate when they do that!
I enjoyed the first game, but the fighting got really irritating towards the end, and I never finished it. But I still pre-ordered this one, and it sounds like just the sort of thing I'm looking for. But, I just started Batman: Arkham Asylum, can I finish it before this arrives? Which one should I put on hold to finish the other? Argh!
I was kind of surprised when I got to the end of page 1 and found there were two more pages, it seemed like the first one said most of what we needed. And Nintendo has the absolute most terrible names, ever since the SNES, when everything had to be super, then 64, now new and Wii. Awful.
I feel like people are retconning reactions to the newest Prince of Persia. Nowadays everyone is claiming not to have liked it or the character, but When it came out it scored pretty well, and people liked the prince's character, certainly much more than the emo guy who came before.
I haven't played any sports games in a few generations, and it seems to me that you needed to get in early, and keep playing, for the current ones to be playable for you.
Hope it makes its way to PS3. I played Saint's Row 2 after GTA 4, and it was fairly enjoyable, though not nearly as enthralling as GTA. I could use some more of this type of game.
I saw a little bit of someone playing a demo at Best Buy, and it does look pretty interesting. If it has more DJ Shadow, Z Trip, and such, rather than Eminem and other rap I don't like, I'll definitely pick it up.
I've loved every one of these games, and have been anxiously awaiting this one. The only knock I've heard against this is that it doesn't so a whole not new or different, but it's always done a great job of platforming and shooting, which you can't really find much anywhere else. The PS3 continues to be the place to get the awesome this holiday season. Can't wait till my copy arrives.
God, I hated Haunted House. I could never figure out what the hell was going on, but everyone seemed to have it. And shouldn't the main reason we've never played most of these games be that they were on PC, not consoles?
