Just to clarify and answer a few comments here - this review is based solely from the console version. As far as I'm aware no-one on GR has played the PC version yet so we can't comment or criticize until then. We, will, of course have a review of the PC game once we've had access to it.
On Amazon.co.uk you can pre-order it for £44.96. By comparison, Uncharted 2 is £37.96 - don't know how that converts to dollars. Hand on heart, I'd pay that for the amount of play-hours I know I'll get out of MW2. Feel free to call me a sucker.
To be clear - I don't hate WAW at all, I just think the BEST thing about it was the Zombie mode. I do prefer the weapons and storyline in MW though, mainly cos I'm fed up with FPS being set in WWII.
@Zekkek Technically 23, yes, but each one can be played at three difficulty levels with different challenges so that makes 69 (the number that appears on screen in Spec ops mode). @GMAN2, @Daemon Angell Yes, as I said in the piece, some people will love it - jut not me. Subjective opinion, but I'd just rather be shooting people in the face... @HeavyTank You're free to have that opinion dude, but I think it deserves the hype from what I've seen.
@Cernunnos Just get as many as you can. The winner will be whoever gets the most right. We're not expecting anyone to get 100% - if they do then wow, you're cleverer than us... (which ain't hard).
We've checked and double checked the download link above and it's live and working. It won't be on iTunes for a bit because it takes a while for the feed to show up. It will be there imminently though. Blame Apple. Cheers!
@pimlicosound, @Gene, in Dave's absence - he's at an Activision event today - we tried to get 2K to comment, but they declined the offer. We'll keep trying as we'd love to know what they think of Dave's opinion.
Have to disagree with Future Warfare, Brett. If Infinity Ward dare introduce a science fiction handgun into new COD I'll be most displeased... If you want Future Warfare play Halo.
federalist25: Sorry - can't quite work out what you're doing wrong here. You don't need to take the skull at this point you need to place it on a lever to activate it. I'll have a look at the walkthrough and see if it can be made clearer.
ravensghost: Not entirely sure of the problem here, but the 'tombstone like structures' are to the left and right of the main entrance to the big temple. Swim up there and find the central lever, then try and pull it and the camera will swing round to show their position.
Also if you can't view the larger versions of the images, it's probably due to Internet Explorer. Try using Firefox. Still, it should work in IE so we'll try to sort it out.
So that's who did the GTA: China Wars fan art piece I downloaded off gamespot a while ago. Yea those are great but the one he made for GTA-Series.com needs to be a poster for me, hmmm I have an idea.
@MadMarcus: I already answered that on the first page of the comments, but it should be in the mines (accessible from the north side of Monteriggioni's outer walls) after you renovate them.
@bullard: The only thing I can suggest is that you look over the screenshots, and if you see any locations that look unfamiliar, go and investigate them.
@Timgamer777: Check the maps again - there are 20 glyphs, listed and marked, with location descriptions and screenshots for each. (I double-checked after seeing your comment, and everything's there.) That's 5 in Florence, 1 in Monteriggioni, 5 in Tuscany/San Gimignano, 2 in Romagna/Forli and 7 in Venice. There aren't any glyphs in the mountains, so I hope you're not hunting for them there.
Yep, those old screens are from a previous iteration of the game that was shown off a good while back. Metro 2033 was 're-announced' in October, with this new, overhauled version. So ignore anything you see or hear about the the game that dates from before this report.
And Metalgatesolid: Sorry, but there's no PS3 version at the moment. It's PC and 360 only right now I'm afraid. We'll let you know if that changes though.
